I’ve loved dogs ever since I can remember. My grandma’s dogs always brought me so much joy when I was a little kid, I persuaded my parents to finally get us one when I was 10. Benja, our family labrador, quickly became my best friend. I walked him at least 3 times a day, played with him, bathed him, followed all vet advice for which snacks are appropriate and how much I could give him, and more recent years, I have had experience with senior care. My dog sadly passed away, as heartbreaking as it is, I feel extremely lucky to have had the chance to have him by my side for 15 years. I still have a void in my heart which is his mark on me, but I have loved and cared for other dogs just as much (my neighbour’s, my friend’s when they are on holidays and my work colleagues after work if they want an evening off) whose owners have relied on me to walk, feed and bathe their pets and give them the utmost attention.
