My grandmother had a special place in her heart for strays, and she would provide them with a loving home until they found their forever families. This meant that there were always more than five dogs around, making my childhood truly remarkable. In addition to Mia and Leah, my family also had a Chow Chow when I was younger, and as I got older, we welcomed a Dalmatian into our lives.
