Pet care experience
This past year I volunteered with a local foster home organization in Houston and realized the joy working with dogs can bring me! I was happy just walking, talking, or playing with the pups and knew they were just as happy to be receiving the love and attention each dog deserves. I'm a friendly and proactive individual looking to bring some fun - and a lot of peace of mind - to dogs and dog owners alike! I'm a recent graduate of the University of Texas and am looking to spend my free time this summer before grad school enjoying all of the sun and sport that Austin has to offer. Fun fact: my New Year's resolution for 2017 was to pet a dog every day (because why the heck not?)- so far so good! Easiest resolution to stick to!

I have used Rover several times now, however this was my first experience using Rover in my own home and I probably won't do it again. The great part is, my dogs seemed to be happy and ok. Aside from that, I came home to trash left all over, a broken kitchen handle that was unexplainable and dried up pee all over my floors. My dogs are house broken and for them to have accidents all over and then left there was not ok with me. I was gone for 4 nights and was told everything was fine, but when I got home it did not appear that way. An entire bag of food was used in those 4 nights, which usually lasts several weeks. This experience has made it very difficult to trust someone in my home again.
Frances is one of the most responsible people I know. I would trust her with my two dogs any day of the week at any time. She is an extremely intelligent woman with a very sensible head on her shoulders, and she can absolutely be trusted with your pets.

A typical day
I am fortunate enough to live in Hyde Park, a gorgeous neighborhood that provides a great setting for evening walks. Additionally, and with the owner's approval, take their pup to fun local dog spots like Zilker park and Barton Creek. I would love to take your dog to have a quick dip in the water to cool off after a long afternoon of play :)
