Personalized expert care for pups
Pet care experience
I am a Cornell trained veterinarian and scientist (DVM/PhD) who has over 2 decades of experience raising and training guide and service dog puppies. I have some experience training and helping to manage behavior cases with fearful and/or reactive dogs as well. I believe that each dog is an individual whose potential as a companion, athlete, and/or service animal is unlocked by relationship-centered caregiving and training that not only tailors to unique needs but focuses on strengthening the bond you have with your pup. As a veterinary scientist passionate about canine behavior, I aim to provide care that fulfills physical and emotional well being for your dog. I am an active runner and experienced with exercising and walking/running multiple dogs at one time when appropriate. I love working with dogs (and people!) of all personalities/sizes/activity levels and look forward to learning more about you and your dog's individual needs and goals!
Reviews
Francis is professional, friendly, and very knowledgeable about how to handle and train dogs with behavioral issues. We have a rescue dog Violet who's reactive to strangers and even more reactive towards other dogs, but she warmed up to Francis and her dog quickly thanks to Francis' positive, laid-back demeanor and expertise. Violet was better behaved on walks after working with her for a couple weeks, and based on what she learned about Violet she gave us training strategies for the future, too. We would recommend Francis to anyone, especially if they have a dog with special needs!
Frances was awesome with Malani and mesu. She was sending us pictures over the weekend of them and really took care of them. I would definitely have her watch my pets again.
Frances is awesome! Our pup is nervous around people, and she was the most comfortable I've ever seen her with a stranger right away. We were kept updated with pics and she was flexible with our schedule. What a relief it was to find someone who has the patience and understanding for a dog with anxiety like ours. We will certainly be repeat clients and will always feel at ease to have our dog stay with Frances!
Frances is amazing! She was very helpful and friendly, and made our dog Shiner feel very comfortable. Shiner is a rottweiler, and can be a lot to handle but Frances was up to the task. She also went above and beyond in helping shiner with behavioral issues and giving us tips on obedience training. She will definitely be working with Shiner again!
