My personal pets have always been a blessing and support to me. I've been involved with animal rescue since my first pittie baby Euryleia (pictured Brindle) followed me home almost 20 years ago and it has brought me so much joy ever since. I have since fostered dogs & bottle kittens for years, and often have a guest in my home during between travel seasons. Puppies are a household favorite, and always welcome- my Korra simply adores them. Because of this, you will notice a lower Day Care rate for puppies, regardless of housebreaking status since they are her favorite playmates.

Francene was wonderful and will definitely be rebooking! Our pup was so happy during his stay and knocked out when we picked him up. She provided updates and pictures during the stay and even sent him home with the yummy dog macaroon! Very sweet and thoughtful! Couldn’t have asked for a better dog sitter! You’re the best!

Crates & Home Access: Unless requested or deemed necessary, Guest Pets will have free rein of the apartment, if at any point your pet or mine needs to be separated or crated you will be notified, as I prefer to give them all the run of the space. Pet guests are welcome to bring a crate and I do have small pop-up crates available if the need arises. And Korra is fed in her crate every meal. Puppies!!!: Puppies are always welcome and their Boarding and Day Care will continue daily basic & potty training with the option for timed crate training. I only utilize positive reinforcement via treat, praise, or play depending on your pup's needs and your requests. I do ask puppies to be dropped off with training pads or even newspaper, and your preferred training treats. A turf/sod box can be made available to them to aid with housebreaking. Training & Behavior Intervention: Whenever possible I prioritize praise-based training over treat and play for the most consistent long-term outcomes. Commands and Cues used in my home: Sit, Stay, Off, Back, Up, Quiet, Home, With Me (Heel), Work (Korra is a ASD support dog for occasions when I need to drive.) On intake, I will jot down any specific training cues or commands for your fur baby and will expect written notes of some kind for any medical care/ treatments in your absence, but a Google Form (https://bit.ly/petcareinfo) is available for you you as well. Dog parks: New guests would only be taken to the complex dog park when no other pups are present until I've safely gauged their behavior and response with me as a caregiver. Returning and Regular Guest Pups have the option of going with Korra to the larger community dog parks only after certain behavior checkpoints are made and written permissions are given.

I have a Google Form to report any medical concerns/ treatments, allergies, behavior triggers, and even play preferences at https://bit.ly/petcareinfo :) I appreciate the necessary information to make sure your furbaby is comfortable in your or my home. And any behavioral quirks or even behavioral concerns are critical information and something I'm always sure to ask about. I will of course do my best to continue or reinforce any current training your baby is working on. I will be seeking out Pet First Aid training but have had some basic training from having been a foster and doing neighborhood rescue.
A typical day
Day-Care, Boarding & Pet Sitting: We do daily training sessions with all guest pups, just to reinforce expectations and build trust while in my care. I am an apartment dweller so we do utilize complex dog parks between walk Regular and long-term Guest Pups do have the option of going with Korra to the larger community dog parks in the area, with parent/owner permission, after a solid caretaker-guest relationship is made, and certain behavior checkpoints made. Otherwise we have a few favorite walking routes & play areas, based on Korra's need for shade lol. Check-ins and Dog Walks: Scheduling around the Texas heat is hard to avoid, so I will bring an misting spray bottle on all walks from 11-3, as I would for my own. (Pro Tip: Aloe Vera Juice & water is cooling and great for shedding, and makes a wonderful after bath rinse for pups with dry flaky skin and/or rough coats.) I will make sure we get some good playtime in regardless of length of booking. If you have a training goal/concern I will of course do my best to reinforce that as well.

Thank you** I have returned to work but luckily live within walking distance from my job and an even able to come home early on occasions. But please keep in mind I do typically work a full 8 hours.
