I Woof Your Fur Babies! ❤️

Pet care experience

*PLEASE READ ENTIRE PROFILE BEFORE BOOKING. Things to know before reading further: 1. I am not a certified trainer. 2. I have three small children. 3. I have a small, senior dog. 4. Because of this I DO NOT sit aggressive dogs. I have 8+ years of fostering dogs from local rescues in Florida. The rescue I am currently with specializes in senior dogs or dogs with medical challenges. I have fostered blind, deaf and limited mobility dogs. I am familiar with skin conditions, epilepsy, and abused or neglected dogs. I also have fostered puppies and worked with potty training and basic manners. If needed, I can administer medications. While most of my attention has been on dogs, I grew up with cats and am familiar with their unique issues and temperaments. I do ask you bring everything your cat needs, as I do not have extras like I do for the dogs. I also had birds, rabbits, sugar gliders and hamsters growing up, and can clean out their cages properly. There is really no (legal) animal I won’t board. To get started I am offering a free bath for boarding and daycare, so don’t miss this temporary perk. I am a mother of three and have been a flight attendant for 13 years. Currently I am taking a sabbatical from flying and my children are in school. When I do continue flying I will be gone an average of two nights a week. This gives me plenty of time to dedicate to your pets. I have a fenced yard, a pool fence and a 24/7 video alarm system. I have an extra large crate and dog bed if your dog should need it, or they can sleep on the bed or in our bedroom. We have step-stairs to help small or senior dogs get on/off bed. Our yard is treated for pests quarterly and inside is treated bi-yearly or as needed. Before letting the dogs out I do a “snake check” and scan for hawks to keep the little ones safe. I also do a daily walk around to make sure there are no holes in the yard or pool fence. Your dog will always have access to fresh water. For extended stays I am willing to negotiate pricing based on individual situations. If you have questions about my rates please let me know. VERY IMPORTANT!!!! While I have extensive experience with dogs, I am NOT A CERTIFIED DOG TRAINER. I DO NOT ACCEPT AGGRESSIVE DOGS. If you have any doubt of your dog’s temperament please do not book with me. I have small children and other dogs I must keep safe above all else. I REQUIRE an emergency number of someone who will take your dog if he exhibits aggression to PEOPLE or ANIMALS. On a personal note, I am humbled and honored you have considered me to care for your fur baby. I take the safety of your dog very seriously and appreciate your trust. I know it can be stressful leaving your baby with a stranger. I promise to listen to your fears, concerns, and suggestions. I am willing to FaceTime, send tons of pictures, and update you several times a day if that will give you peace of mind. If you give me a chance we can build trust, and as your pet gets to know my home the fear of the unknown will subside and it will be a positive experience for everyone. Thank you sincerely for your leap of faith. I am currently at home all day so I am available for your pets. I also have a dog and three small children who love dogs and cats. I have a fenced in yard and pool fence. I check the yards for predatory birds and snakes. I never leave them unattended if they are inside the pool area.

Information Flame C. would like to know about your pet

Is your pet scared of bad weather? Are there any medical issues I should know? Is your pet scared of men or “triggered” by normal things such as hats, umbrellas, etc. How is your pet with children and dogs? Is your dog housebroken? Has your dog ever ran away? Has your dog chewed on furniture, baseboards, cords, etc. Does your pet put inedible objects in their mouth (rocks, coins, buttons)? Has your dog ever been abused or neglected? Should I expect your dog to know commands and their name?

A typical day

Your dog will have ample opportunity to lounge or to play. I have two senior Yorkies of my own and usually have a foster dog as well. During the day they can play with my dogs, watch tv, play with chew toys or lounge in my lap. We go outside at least every two hours to potty. There’s room to run in the yard, throw balls, and sun themselves. If it’s hot we set up a splash pad so they can cool off. Our neighborhood has impressive trails full of shade where your dogs can be walked and enjoy nature. At night (and each feeding) I individually feed the dogs and supervise mealtimes. They go out around 11 PM for their last potty break. Either they can sleep in our bed, an extra large crate, dog bed (we provide), or their own bed/crate.
