Hi! I'm Fiona. I help humans go on vacation without needing to worry about their home or cats. Your cat(s) and I will enjoy a staycation with all their favorite activities - snuggles, watching birds out the window, watching me wave the cat toy, actually playing with the cat toy, building the pillow forts they like to sleep in, providing “important” papers to sit on, or I can just be a calm presence in the same room as them, whatever your cat likes. I have lived with and cared for cats the majority of my life. I have experience with picky eaters, giving medicine, monitoring what comes out the other end, injury-sensitive play, surgery recovery, and sitting with some of my own pets as they passed (hopefully never with your pet. Since I have a sweet spot for seniors, some owners have brought it up as a possibility) If you show me how your cat likes things done, they’ll happily discover you left them with a well trained human.

Fiona was wonderful! Fiona house and cat sat for us while we were away for a week. We received daily updates and many pictures! I am usually anxious when we have to leave our cat for an extended period of time, but I wasn't worried once while he was under Fiona's care. Fiona house sat for us for a week, including caring for our two mischievous cats and our garden and did a fantastic job! Stellar communication from the first inquiry until we got back from our trip. Fiona stayed overnight in our house with our three cats, and they’re not the easiest bunch: they’ve got special foods, habits, feeding schedules, etc. Fiona asked great questions and made sure they understood everything. When they checked in while we were traveling, they described each of our cats’ personalities so well, we knew they were with someone who gets and enjoys cats and their quirks. Fiona recently stayed at our home while we were away on a two week vacation. She took wonderful care of our aging cat and our home. Fiona was proactive about contacting us close to our departure to insure that she had all of the information and contact numbers needed while we were gone. We received regular updates and photos to let us know that she and our cat were getting along well. The house was well-cared for as well, and she left everything just as she found it, including washing linens before she left. We would highly recommend Fiona to anyone considering her services.

A typical day
A typical day really depends on the animals I am sitting. I mostly do drop-ins and overnight stays with cats. Some just want me around, some want continuous belly rubs, some want to play. I allow time for whatever your cat likes and needs to remain spoiled. (Let’s face it, we all spoil our cats rotten, they deserve it!)

Availability
In addition to pet sitting, I work part time at a bakery in Greenfield and part time remotely. My bakery schedule does include some early mornings (5am) which make me a poor match for strict morning medicine and feeding schedules. Every day I make time for cat affection (if they’re interested) and there’s extra on my days off should those fall on my days with your cat. I can also be a cat bed while I write, I make an excellent cat bed.
