Before rover, Neighbours and friends have relied on me and my partner to take care of their dogs whilst they are working or on holiday! We love walking and playing with the dogs as it keeps us active and of course we love dogs. I’ve previously had 2 border terrier dogs, my partner has had many labradors and shepherd mixed breeds in the past. We are home most of the time due to studying in our senior years of university and have plenty of energy left to play with our furry friends! I’m hoping to one day go into a job with dogs so any experience I can get is highly valued and I love seeing all the different dog personalities there are. I have recently taken care of a close friend/neighbours Bavarian mountain hound who can be quite anxious but loves a cuddle! And also a Labrador who loved to play fight and adored playing ball. We have seen all types of dogs so if you need special assistance please let us know and we can discuss. People would describe me as responsible, animal lover, kind and reliable. I booked in with Fiona really last minute due to a previous booking cancelling, but Fiona was so accommodating, offering to do a meet and greet the next day & instantly put me at ease. She sent plenty of updates or coco & was able to take care of cocos needs due to medication / health issues etc. Due to Cocos age I get nervous leaving her but I felt coco was in such safe hands & really well cared for & I think she had a great time too! I would definitely book with Fiona again & so thankful.
This is our second time coming back to Fiona to watch Toby. She’s so great with him and he loves his time with her. I am so glad we have Fiona close by for Toby to feel comfortable with when we are away!
Fiona looked after our dog over the weekend. She could not be faulted. We received frequent photos and texts letting us know how our dog was getting on and he had a great time. He was obviously happy in her company. We will certainly ask Fiona to look after him again.
Fiona tried hard to let my nervous pup settle in but unfortunately my pup was too stressed out so was best to pick her up early, Fiona was messaging asking what’s best to help her settle and herself and partner were really understanding. Would recommend her for a pup that’s settled easily in unknown circumstances and isn’t too unsure as I know they’d be well taken care of

I live in a first floor flat, there is an enclosed garden out back and also two parks nearby ( about 5minutes away) to walk your dog in. Kelvingrove is nearby to socialise with other dogs if this would be preferred and also a more quiet park in yorkhill for more anxious dogs who prefer to be in less busy areas. I love all breeds of dogs and enjoy getting to know any furry friends and their different personalities. I am active and love running around outside with dogs but also love to relax and cuddle and chill out. Love seeing how different all dogs are!

All dog breeds are welcome! Please let me know if you’re dog has any specific requirements so I can follow them as best I can. Preferably we can’t take dogs that will Bark when left alone for less than 4 hours as our neighbour complains and it could prevent us from taking other dogs :(. Hope you can understand Please let us know honestly about above as it is highly important that your dog is able to be left alone without being destructive or barking/howling lots
A typical day
There is two big parks near my flat so we love taking dogs to explore there. If the dog is comfortable we also love going to get a coffee at cafes and of course they can get a puppicino ( if allowed! :) ). We love chilling out and relaxing with lots of cuddles for the dogs and also play fight a lot with the dogs if they enjoy doing this, we can also play with ball toys, and play tug with rope toys!

Availability
I’m currently a full time student in my 3rd year. This means my classes are very spread out and not too often so I’ll have plenty of time to play with your dogs and give them company. In addition to this, my partner is only at university 2 hours a week and is at home the rest of the time, so lots of company for the dog and two friends to play with😊. We have been sent documents from previous dog owners with instructions on food, walking, preferences and have followed them without hesitation for the dogs needs. I am nearby kelvingrove and yorkhill park which are both lovely walking areas. One is nearby other dogs and one is more quiet for more anxious dogs. These are about a 5 minute walk away from me so I tend to walk any dogs I’m taking care of around here.
