Pet care experience
Fi received her early dog-walking training working for a sassy Shiba Inu (is there any other kind?). Jim's family has long been devoted to the adorable, if opinionated, pups of the Scottish Terrier variety. Together they have fostered (and adopted) former feral cats, and their cats continue to serve as ambassadors for TNR (trap-neuter-release) programs. Fi and Jim are wise in the ways of dogs and cats. We work odd hours in and around academia, and between the two of us have a very flexible availability. You will meet us both, and then after that either of us might make the visits to our new furry friend. We are the kind of people who won't let you leave the house without writing down the name and number of your veterinarian, and we'll send you as many (slightly askew) pictures of your safe and happy pet as you want to see.

Fiorella is an exceptional cat sitter!!! She goes above and beyond to ensure my cats know they are loved & safe, and that I know they are OK :) All of us who love our pets know the anxiety that comes with leaving them and - being an exceptional cat parent as well - she does too. My cats (who are suspicious of most people) love and trust her as family, and she sends daily updates & photos of their time together - including the occasional unplanned incident (calicoes!), which she handles with grace and good humour :) 100% would recommend Fiorella!!
This was my first time using Rover, and I felt fully confident leaving my cat in Fi’s care. Fi was professional and knowledgeable—ensuring she had all of my cat’s information before I left. While I was away it was wonderful receiving fun write ups of her check ins and pictures of my cat.
Fi loves animals of all kinds. She is very dedicated to the health and welfare of cats and dogs alike. She is very experienced in the day to day care of both dogs and cats and I feel very comfortable leaving my beloved animals in her care. She treats them the way I would ......which means a lot to those of us who treat our animals like the family members they are.
I have an elderly, grumpy, stubborn Shiba Inu who definitely has ideas of How Things Should Be. Fi has dog sat for us on a couple of occasions, ranging from an overnight trip to almost a week. My normally reserved dog always has a good time with Fi. And I've received plenty of pictures of doggy adventures to prove it. Fi takes my Shiba's quirks into account, and I don't have to worry about her while I'm away. I'd recommend Fi for any pet owner.
