Owned a beautiful spaniel for 10 years from a puppy as well as four cats from kittens over the last 30 years. Often walk and look after friends dogs overnight for them.

Dogs are great judges of people and surroundings, and Scamp seemed instantly at ease with Fern and Chris in their lovely home. Fern was very helpful (and patient) with our changing flights and dates, and helped us through the booking process as first-time Rover users. So it's a paws up from Scamp, and a big thank you from us!
Guinness had a lovely time with Fern and Chris - his first stay and he settled very well and I could tell immediately they would take good care of him. Was sent photos with updates and was very reassured that he was happy ‘on holiday’ with Fern. He will look forward to his next stay. Thank you
This was our first time leaving Stanley but I was so relaxed about it once I met Fern. A lovely home and lovely people who promised to treat him as part of the family.....and they didn't disappoint! He was obviously a happy boy for the week and I'm only hoping he was as popular as Fern said and that she'll have him back next time!
Fern was amazing and Winston had a fantastic weekend. We felt that we were leaving him in safe hands and knew that he would be well looked after and cared for like her own - and we were not disappointed. We will feel very comfortable leaving Winston with Fern again in Oct when we will be away for a longer period.

We have a detached house with a fenced in garden and a large kitchen/dining area which will provide safe spaces for your dog to feel at home. Dogs are not allowed upstairs and they must be used to sleeping downstairs on their own. They will be in the kitchen/diner at night.

I would prefer to meet you and your dog at my house before the first visit so we can discuss any requirements and make sure everyone is happy with the arrangements.
A typical day
We will let the dogs in the garden for a play first thing in the morning. We will take them for a short walk in the park next door and then go out for a long walk in the nearby countryside every day.

My husband and I are retired so are at home during the day and weekends. We enjoy a daily walk so your dog will get plenty of exercise.
