Peaks & Paws

Pet care experience

"Where Dogs Go For Adventure" We offer small 4 dog pack hikes to dogs in Colorado Springs. We have a resident hiker named Bentley Tucker who is the reason I decided to start Peaks & Paws in the first place. I just bought a house in a small town and am working two jobs and my dogs and mental health were both declining in moral. I was thinking about ways I can bring Bentley to work and give him the extra attention and exercise that he desperately needs and it dawned on me. Why don't I combine both of my passions of hiking and dogs into a business. And just like that Peaks & Paws was born. Please don't worry though, I'm not a newbie to the field or even to working with animals. I spent 6 years working in all areas of dog daycares and 6 years as a dog walker and pet sitter. 3 of those 6 years was me running my own pet care company in CA. Then covid hit and it all shut down. A little about our resident hiker Bentley. He is a 3 year old cattle dog/aussie shepherd mix and he is my high energy sour patch kid kind of dog. He is UTD on shots and fixed. Now while a 30 minute walk around the block s great for my other 3 dogs, it is merely a warm up for Bentley. Why do we limit our packs to 4 dogs? We keep our pack sizes small so we can give each dog more individual attention and care. I have 4 dogs and a cat myself and yes all 5 of them go hiking and camping with me on our free time.
