Looking to become your dog’s second best friend!

Pet care experience

I’ve had dogs in my life since I was born, mostly through family, that we would look after when they were busy with work or on holiday. I got my own dog in 2011, a black and white cocker spaniel, and it was there I truly grew my love and passion for animals, as she showed me true love and companionship. I’m passionate about providing an environment that dogs can thrive in, and will look after your pet as if they are my own.

Faye has cared for several generations of our dogs over many years, long before she considered adopting dog walking/sitting as a business. She is caring and compassionate in nature and her other work experience has meant that she is well organised and professional. Our current spaniels, Millie and Abbie get very excited regardless of whether Faye is dog sitting at ours or taking them for a a walk / looking after them. They adore her. They are so happy and contented to be with Faye that we are never concerned about leaving them with her when our busy life schedule requires Consequently we wish to give Faye our strongest possible endorsement. Penny and Brent May.

Safety, trust & environment

When caring for pets in their home, I prioritize creating a safe and comfortable environment for them. This includes maintaining their routine as closely as possible, ensuring regular feeding times, walks, and play sessions. I also make sure to provide plenty of love, attention, and companionship, ensuring they feel secure and happy in their familiar surroundings while their owners are away

Information Faye T. would like to know about your pet

Does your pet have any medical conditions or allergies I should be aware of? How does your pet typically behave around new people and other animals? Are there any specific triggers or situations that make them anxious or aggressive? Is there anything else you think I should know to make your pet's time with me as comfortable and enjoyable as possible?

A typical day

My Solo Walks service is designed to provide your dog with a personalised and enriching walking experience. I understand that some dogs prefer the undivided attention and calmness of a solo walk, I cater to this need with utmost care. Each solo walk is tailored to suit the individual pace, temperament, and preferences of your dog, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable outing every time. Whether it’s a leisurely stroll through the local area, a brisk walk in the park, or exploring new trails, I'll adapt to the specific needs and energy levels of your pet. This service is not just a walk; it's an opportunity for your dog to engage in a fulfilling and stress-free experience, with the added benefit of maintaining their routine and exercise regimen. Typical walk: - Dog walker arrives at your home. They spend a few minutes greeting your dog, allowing them to get comfortable and excited for their walk. The walker ensures your dog has a properly fitted harness and leash. They also carry fresh water, treats, and any necessary doggy bags. - The walk begins, heading to a predetermined route that suits your dog's preferences, whether it's a quiet neighbourhood stroll or a visit to a nearby park. Your dog enjoys a brisk walk, tailored to their pace. This is the time for exercise, exploration, and sniffing around, with the walker providing constant supervision and interaction. - Time for a short break. The dog is given water and a treat, and if they enjoy socialisation, they might have a brief, controlled interaction with other dogs or people. - The walk continues, possibly exploring a new area or engaging in a favourite activity, like playing fetch or practising basic commands. - As the walk draws to an end, the pace slows down, allowing your dog to wind down. The walker then leads your dog back home. Back at home, the walker ensures your dog is clean and comfortable, refilling their water bowl and giving them a final treat. - The walker departs, leaving a happy and well-exercised dog. The walker sends a 'pup-date' to you through Rover, detailing the walk, including any observations about your dog's behaviour, the route taken, and a photo or video of the day's adventure. My pop in visits service is designed to cater to the unique needs of your dog. During each visit, I'll engage your dog in essential activities like potty breaks, feeding, water top-ups, and playful interactions in the garden. The service also encompasses basic training and command reinforcement, which are crucial for fostering good behaviour and socialisation skills. I'll ensure a safe and nurturing environment for every pup, allowing them to explore and learn comfortably at home. The objective of each visit is not only to meet the basic needs of your dog but also to make these moments a delightful, educational and enriching part of their day. Typical pop in visit: - The dog walker arrives and gently greets the pup, allowing time for the dog to become comfortable and familiar with their presence - The visit begins with a timely potty break, reinforcing house training routines - The dog is fed according to their specific dietary schedule, followed by a fresh water top-up - Engaging in interactive playtime, either indoors or in the garden, focusing on activities that stimulate the dog's physical and mental development. Time might also be spent exploring different areas of the home or garden. - The walker spends time bonding with your dog, providing cuddles and gentle strokes to foster trust and comfort - Another opportunity for a potty break to maintain a consistent routine - The walker ensures your dog has a clean, safe space and checks water availability before leaving. A detailed update is sent to the owner, including information about the dog's behaviour, progress with training, pictures, and any notable moments from the visit.
