Pet care experience
I've been caring for dogs since I was in grade school, first as a 4H member training dogs in obedience, showmanship,and agility, then moving onto therapy dog training. I received training in the Tellington Touch method for dog training and generally found this approach so effective in building bonds with all the wonderful dogs I've cared for. Since college, I have been the dog auntie for my friends, taking them in when they are traveling and generally popping by to walk them during the week.

Fay was absolutely phenomenal with Hiro and I would absolutely, positively, 100% book with her again--and I would also recommend her without reservation to any other dog owners who are looking for a kind, thoughtful, and communicative sitter. Fay sent updates and photos and videos nearly every day that she was watching Hiro, and I could tell that he was as happy as a clam, even though he's becoming a grumpy old dog. I was absolutely thrilled that he was visibly happy, which told me that Fay is a real professional. A true gem!

I am certified in Cat & Dog First Aid from American Red Cross. I take getting to know your dog or cat very seriously and take care to provide a safe and active engagement with your pet. I'm very mindful of keeping a client's home tidy and clean if I'm providing drop-in services.

A typical day
I enjoy long nature walks with my dog clients most of all! I always bring along portable water bowls and a Dog-specific First Aid Kit with me. I also enjoy playing tug-o-war with dogs with specific kinds of rope toys. And especially after walks, if your dog is comfortable with therapeutic touch, I like to offer canine massage, on which I'm currently taking a course.

I currently work full-time during the weekday so am only able to offer services on the weekends. My weekends are very flexible for drop-ins and walks!
