Hello, my name is Faith and I am a life-long animal lover! I am currently a college student with a very flexible schedule; I have just earned my bachelors in Psychology and start my doctorate program for Occupational Therapy in August . I have over 7 years of varying pet care experience that ranges from dogs, to cats, to horses and even bunnies! This includes dog sitting, dog walking, house stays, dog boarding, doggie day care, check-ins, illness-treatment, and raising my own puppy to a fully obedient adult dog. If you are looking for someone who can train your dog during visits, then I’m the walker for you! I have been working with dogs through Rover for over 2 years. A recent example of client care has been regular, bi-weekly care for a three-year old adopted puppy, Dot. My duties included helping adjust Dot to her new home, assisting with training exercises, providing multiple walks per day, feeding and attending to specialized diet needs, caring for her temporary illness, and assisting with trips to the vet, groomers, and dog park. However, my devotion to animals extends far beyond simply pet sitting and walking. I aim to work with animals throughout my entire career as an Occupational Therapist, and am planning on completing an extra semester of school to receive my Therapy Animal Certifications following my graduation. Additionally, I have very recently completed an internship at Animal Friends over the summer of 2018 where I trained my dog to complete a certification in their Pet Therapy course, and now use these skills to volunteer and administer pet therapy to those who will benefit from it the most.
