Animals are life ❤️

Pet care experience

FAQ at the bottom! I've had pets all of my life and I've been professionally taking care of other people's pets for 6 years. I've volunteered for the AZ Humane Society, Saving One Life Animal Rescue, and Wildlife Zoo and Aquarium. I love all animals and I'm open to exotic animals too! I love to cuddle and relax with the pets in my home. I understand shy pets, aggressive pets, and special needs pets and have no difficulty working with them and earning their trust. In the case of special needs animals, I have significant experience giving meds and subcutaneous injections/fluids when necessary. I have a fenced in yard and a doggy door available for pet use! I work from home full time so I am nearly always home! I've setup my desk so that I can sit on the couch and cuddle with the pets and play a little bit of fetch while I work. I'm off work on the weekends! I like to try to take them to the dog park on Saturdays :) Safety is a top priority for me! I have a small fenced yard that I pick the dog poop up from every day. When pets make a mess inside, I always clean with a mixture of vinegar and water to keep them safe. I attempt to respond to messages as soon as I get them, and strive to respond within 4 hours at the latest. If I notice anything seems off with your pet (blood in urine, skin tags, weepy eyes, frequent itching are just a few examples), I will let you know immediately and take your pet to the nearest vet, or your preferred vet, per your request. I have a couple of baby gates up around the house to ensure the dogs stay nearby and don't get into anything they shouldn't. For additional comfort for you pets, please bring something (a bed, blanket, etc) that smells like home! It really gives them a sense of comfort to have that familiarity. Visiting cats get their own large room away from any of my pets (or other visiting animals) while they adjust. Cats absolutely need their own area to destress in. I provide the same to anxious dogs. During sittings in your home, I always make sure I leave your home cleaner than when I arrived. After being away from home, I know I need some down time and don't want to do chores first thing when I get home so I provide that to my clients as well. FAQ: 1. This is my first time using Rover! How does this all work? First, you'll need to send me a request! My calendar is available on my profile along with my rates! I only take pets who are other pet friendly. Being cat friendly is an absolute must! If you aren't sure, I'm happy to do a meet and greet to see how your pup interacts with my kitties. My cats are great hosts and love to say hello to a visiting dog! If they are cat friendly, we can still set up a meet and greet so you can see how I interact with your pets, how I interact with you, or if you want to see what my home looks like! If you trust me based off of my profile, your time is short, or you just feel like doing a meet and greet, that's okay too! Once we have decided we are a good fit for each other, we will each confirm the service. In the detail page, it will show you my address if you need it, the dates, the price of the service, pick up and drop off times, as well as some other useful information. If you've updated your and your pets profile, your address will be available if I need to go to your home, and your pets routine details will be available for me as well. This includes how often they need to go potty, how often they are fed, if they take medications, and whatever other information you've included in their profile. On the date of request, you can bring your pet to start the service (or I'll come to your play to start the service, depending). During the stay, I'll provide you with periodic updates, send a few pictures, and let you know if there is anything concerning going on while you are away from your pets. 2. What should I bring? Please be sure to bring their food, any medications they take, a leash, something that smells like home (such as a bed or blanket), and anything else they need or are attached to. You do not need to bring food or water bowls, I have plenty of those! You do not need to bring a kennel unless you have a special kennel for your dog. I have one large kennel and one small kennel. I only use kennels if dogs are trained for it and like their kennels, otherwise, dogs free roam the whole time they are here. 3. My pet has diabetes/is blind/has other special needs. Are you familiar with this and capable of watching them? Absolutely. I have cared for deaf dogs, blind dogs, dogs with diabetes, highly anxious dogs, dogs and cats with extreme UTIs, senior animals, and more. I can give injections, subcutaneous fluids, pills, and other medical necessities. I have stairs and ramps for dogs who are too small to jump onto the furniture themselves as well. 4. How many dogs do you host at once? I feel comfortable hosting up to six dogs at once. This does mean that while your pup is here, there will likely be other, dog friendly, dogs here. I do a great job at monitoring them at all times and making sure all dogs feel comfortable and safe. I take dog happiness and comfort very seriously and introduce dogs using a personality based method. Some dogs are okay to be set free with a bunch of different dogs and do great! Other dogs need to meet other dogs one on one in a controlled environment. I do what it takes to allow the dogs to be in the same spaces in a happy, easy, kennel free, way. If you have any other questions, please feel free to reach out!

The only reason it’s not lower than a 3 is because after requested, pictures were sent daily. I did a long Sun-Fri stay as I travel a lot for work. Sunday drop off I messaged her I arrived and there was no response, set follow up message no response. I was waiting outside for about 15 mins before she finally came out. There’s a sign on her door that says “work from home please do not knock or ring the doorbell” so I refrained from doing that. I was literally in the middle of canceling the reservation when she walked outside. She did send daily pictures after I requested, but the area around momo (my cat) in the picture was always dirty/not a clean environment. I just picked him up and all his stuff I brought with him is dirty. His bed, blanket, and carrier. There is literally throw up IN his carrier on the door flap and on the base. And white stuff?? on the outside of his carrier. Now I’m unsure if he was just left in his carrier until I asked for photos. I usually use Jo on here, but she is slightly more expensive but I will definitely no longer care about cost as long as I know my momo is taken care of properly. I only booked with Fae bc she only has 5 star reviews. So this is my SOLO experience but I will not be booking with her again.

Fae was amazing, communicative, and accommodating for my special needs angel. I was running late and not able to pick Hazelnuts up and she ended up sleeping over last minute and late at night. Thank you for taking such good care of her! Will definitely be using Fae again in the future :)

Information Fae A. would like to know about your pet

It's very important to me to know whether a pet is friendly with other animals, particularly cats since I have a handful in my home. Animals who have difficultly getting up and down the stairs may not do well in my home as it is a two story, but I'm more than happy to carry them up and down the stairs. I also have a large living room downstairs that leads directly to my backyard and I spend most of my time here anyway!

A typical day

I spend almost all of my time with the pets I'm watching. We work together, do chores together, watch TV together, and sleep together. There are only a few places in my home that I prevent animals from accessing, such as counters and the stove top. There is plenty of space in my home to run around when it's play time.
