Myself and kids have grown up with dogs. Growing up, Fabian had multiple pi tbulls,a mastiff-pit, long haired chihuaha, and a pom-minigreyhound. One pit was a rescue, with one of the saddest stories but she lives a wonderful life with us. The chihuahua was given to us by the Dr. I worked for, a patient of ours had unexpected puppies and of course we had to help make sure at least one had a great life, and the mastiff-pit...neighbor next door had pups and I told myself NO MORE DOGS, she was having a hard time finding homes for 3 and as soon as I saw the face and pink belly we were hooked. We also have chickens-but this is a dog site so we will stick to the dogs. Our dogs are spoiled they (all 4of them) are use to sleeping in our beds, they are walked, eat Annamaet dog food, get antlers, liver treats, nails trimmed, and Dr. visits regularly. They also get to watch the Disney channel, animal planet, or any other cartoons we can find for them. We live in Alaska where the climate can range from 90 to minus 60, these guys have clothing appropriate for the climate to include coats and booties. Fabian and all my children have always been involved in the feeding, poop pick up, walking/poop pick up, and daily care. We talk to our dogs yes they are small people to us. Fabian was very close to our pit-boxer rescue, that was her human. She slept with him. When he moved to Colorado, not only I but she felt his loss she would wait for him at the steps at the time she expected him to be home. I would highly recommend Fab to anyone with a dog, he has a beautiful personality, is very organized, and caring. The care and responsibility to your pet I am confident would be on or above your level of expectation. Only concerns I may have is your dog falling in love with him or him falling in love with your dog.
