Deep Discount for Multiple Pets

Pet care experience

I am what is known as an animal empath. "An animal empath is considered a person with an exceptional ability to recognize and understand the emotions and mental state of an animal to such a degree as to be able to then interact with the animal and/or positively influence its behaviour." - Quora. I can't tell you how many times I've heard "they don't usually like people" as a warning, only for the owner to be surprised that they come to me. This is because they intuitively know I mean them no harm. Example: I was at an Airbnb a few years back that had two terriers. The owner told me they would bark at me, to not worry about it - they did it to everyone. They never barked at me and she told me that had never happened. I understand how much we love our pets and I will treat yours as if they were my own because there is nothing purer than the love of a pet - with maybe the exception of small children (they love me, too). I know you might be experiencing some sticker shock, however, let me assure you the love and care I give your fur babies is worth every penny and gives me the ability to be with your pet 24/7 in most cases. Also please note the charge goes down roughly 85% for additional pets (Rover counts dogs and cats separately, but negotiation is available for a home with both). I've had a pet for as long as I can remember. Cats, dogs, rabbits... even a hermit crab once. My daughter (whom I currently live with) has snakes and a gecko (along with two cats and a dog). My fur baby is alpha kitty: Seven. She's five. I also had a bunny in the past that I let run around when I was home working.

Once again Evie did a great job with our Chihuahuas. They love being with her.

Evie did an outstanding job with our needy puppy. He has a liver issue (pending diagnosis) and it’s hard to get him to eat. Evie did her very best, and sent frequent updates and videos. It was hard being away from our boys, but we had a close family member get married in another city. And when our plane developed a mechanical issue mid air, and we got diverted and very delayed, Evie was able to stay several hours longer to help us. We appreciate all she did for us!

Evie did a fantastic job looking after our two Chihuahuas. One of them can be very nervous about meeting new people. However, it wasn't very long until he sat in Evie's lap. Evie has taken care of them twice now. Last time for a week. Everything went very well both times. I would highly recommend Evie.

Safety, trust & environment

Given the natural trust animals have towards me, I don't see any problems arising regarding caring for your pet in your home as directed by you. I feel it is important to follow your wishes in order to keep their routine as normal as possible while the parent(s) are away. For example, if they sleep with you, then they sleep with me. I strive to ease any anxiety they may have knowing their human(s) are not there When I meet a new family, I purposefully sit on the floor - just like when you speak to a child, you lower yourself to their eye level. Additionally, I let them come to me rather than attempt to force myself upon them. I want them (and you) to know I understand I am invading their territory and I mean them no harm.

Information Evie T. would like to know about your pet

The most important thing is to know how they react to other dogs and people that come in the vicinity while out for a walk. Our dog is an alpha and we have to make sure she doesn't get near other dogs. Also their poop habit - do they do their business in one go? Do they walk as they go? Do they do half here and half a min or two later there? Do they tend to try and eat the foliage and what do you do to get them to stop? Do you have a set of commands/hand gestures you give them so they know what you want them to do? Do they take medication? How do you usually administer if so? Are they allowed on furniture - that sort of thing.

A typical day

It depends on the dog, really. I would rely on the owner to give me information on what they like/don't like. Puppy love is the best love (we don't deserve them!) and am happy to just walk, play frisbee, go to a dog park so they can socialize, or do anything else they love to do. Knowledge of a favorite toy is paramount! :D
