Ever since I was born, I have been around dogs, and it’s safe to say they have become lifelong companions for me! I am currently on placement year here in Reading, and I am missing my family pets a lot. Back at home, we have two sprocker spaniels, and a pet cat (who may have a slight addiction to dreamies!). Having grown up around pets, I have learnt about how to care for them day to day, but also the specifics in caring for a senior, sick, or a young fur baby. I love feeding, cuddling and walking dogs - as well as giving cats plenty of attention when they want it! With working remotely I was typically around my pets at home for the majority of the day, giving them their breakfast, snuggles in lunch break, and then a walk and their dinner at the end of the working day! Not forgetting a biscuit before bed! I will care for pets in the pet owner’s home, or outside on walks, as I cannot have pets in the student accommodation I will be staying in.
