WOULD NOT USE THIS SITTER. I have been thinking hard about how to write this review as I hate leaving negative feedback for anyone, but this situation was particularly bad. I felt uncomfortable at the drop off as we were not welcomed in and Evgenia seemed to rush us along. It was requested we use whatsapp to communicate instead of Rover messages. After no update, I checked in and Evgenia sent a video with our dog wearing a bark collar. I responded that we were not okay with that and asked about the care situation, including how long our dogs were spending in their crate, since our dog never barks. She responded saying the collar was safe, but never responded to my requests about their care. The images she sent us also included 6-8 dogs in the pictures when we were not told other dogs would be present. The Rover Health and Safety team was involved and our dogs were relocated to another sitter. When the new sitter picked up our dogs she noted the that they smelled very strongly of urine (we had bathed them before drop off) and we had been gone less than 2 days. It was very stressful knowing our dogs were in this situation. We use Rover instead of a kennel because our dogs are used to a home environment with personalized care and attention - they absolutely did not get this with Evgenia. Using a bark collar without consent is not ethical and the fact that she paid no attention to our concern was really upsetting.

Evgenia was able to take our young dog for the weekend on very short notice and was great with him! There is an entire area set up downstairs for the dogs and our pooch was able to play and have fun with other dogs while there. I had to reach out for any updates over the weekend, but once we picked him up she gave us a full rundown of how the weekend went and I could really tell that she spent a lot of time getting to know (and appreciate!) our dog. This was our first time leaving our dog with someone we didn’t know overnight and it went great. Would recommend!
