Pet care experience
Hi there, I'm Ever! I'm a non-binary (they/them) graduate student, shelter volunteer, & pet sitter! I've taken care of cats and dogs since I was 10. I've grown up with medium/large dogs and cats of all ages. I have experience caring for puppies and kittens at Austin Pets Alive (APA) in their medical centers where I provide basic care, assist in recovery, and administer medications. I also have experience caring for 6+ rambunctious, large dogs at the same time as well as caring for special needs dogs (senior/diabetic/blind). I am also a regular volunteer at Central Texas Pig Sanctuary and have 2 years of experience caring for pigs 🐷

I am unable to care for your pets at my house since I have a small apartment where a grumpy, senior kitty lives. COVID safety: I work independently in a lab and test weekly through the university.

If your dog is learning basic commands (ex. here, wait, etc) or if there are certain house manners that I should be keeping up on (ex. sit and wait before being let outside). And if your dog has any special needs or anxieties that I should be aware of.
A typical day
This is up to you and your furry friend! During our initial meet up, we can discuss what kind of activities your dog likes to do and if they have a regular walking route they're used to. I typically like to approach animals on their terms by presenting them options in terms of games or toys to keep them stimulated.

Availability
I work part-time at APA in the medical centers and full time as a grad student at UT Austin. My school schedule is very flexible since I set it myself. I am excellent with time management and work/life balance.
