I have grown up with dogs – we used to have 6 or 7 dogs of varying shapes and sizes on our sheep farm in NZ, which we worked, trained and played with on a daily basis. I have 15 years experience working in a vets, so animals have been my life and I have extensive animal handling experience. I started dog sitting when I was on maternity leave when I am missed the daily contact with dogs in particular and I love to have a furry friend around during the day. Now that I am back at work I still enjoy dog sitting on occasion, although it is trickier during the week. I will only look after 1 dog at a time, (or two from the same household, on request) so you can be safe in the knowledge that your dog will get loads of care and attention. I can look after dogs that may not be so good with other animals, or dogs that need medication (including injections). I do have a toddler, so it is essential that your dog is family friendly, although of course I will take care to introduce them to each other slowly and not put either in an unsafe situation. I have a good sized kitchen and living area that your pet can wander around freely. We do have a garden but it is not securely fenced so outdoor time will be on-lead. We have some woods nearby that are great for dog walks (again, on-lead of course!). I am flexible with timings and bookings and you can be assured of a personalised and friendly service for your dog. For weekend bookings, I can take dogs from Friday evening (it isn't obvious from the calendar) Apologies for the bad photos – I don’t really use instagram!
