My passion for building a career around working solely with canines, began 11 years ago, when I was sent on my first rescue mission to save an emaciated and abused mamma pit-bull & her 9 puppies. From that moment on I was enthralled into the thick of dog rescue and it was not long after, that my passion for working with canines, became my life purpose. I've spent the last several years participating in animal advocacy; providing educational outreach programs for rural-communities throughout Vancouver Island; including The Qlauoquot Sound & most recently Salt Spring Island. This outreach experience and my genuine enthusiasm to refine the lives of all dogs, has provided me with immense knowledge on how to recognize canine behaviour in various breeds, how to gain their trust regardless of their situation, and in turn build a common ground and mutual respect between owner and dog. This will be my 11th year volunteering with various local & international animal rescue groups; my spare time is best used up when I am out on a rescue mission saving an animals life, or bringing foster animals in to my home to help them adjust, learn to trust & to prepare them for their new life with their furever family. It is my mission to provide a balanced adventure in NATURE : where every dog can be free to stimulate their mind to their maximum potential, and can go home feeling like their purpose as a dog, is being met with complete fulfillment after spending their days with a calm, confident and NURTURing pack leader. Having worked at a vet clinic as a receptionist & vet tech in training, I am confident with basic; grooming, clipping nails, bathing, tick removal, & administering medications of various sorts, at home injections & sub q fluids. I have also worked closely with goats, & pigs as well as pet sat for several farms. Working with animals, (primarily dogs ) has become second nature to me; I am comfortable with all breeds and make it my priority to ensure that every dog in my care feels as loved as they would in the comfort of their own home. I have over 6 years of large to medium sized pack-walks (6 - 12) dogs at once, and individual private walks as well. During my walk I ensure all dogs received the same amount of on & off-leash training, socialization training, rewards, & purpose. My pet sitting extends to cats, fish, & certain farm animals as well.
