Pet care experience
For the past 10 years, I have gained experience taking care of a variety of animals - not just dogs and cats! I have 5 pets of my own and have also rescued/fostered a handful of stray cats and kittens that I’ve found around the area over the past couple of years. I trained my cat on the basics (sit, give paw, come) and have taken my dog through PetSmart’s basic training course. I have a big heart for senior and special needs pets and aim to adopt one (or a few!) when I have the time and resources to provide the proper care. I am comfortable bathing, feeding, walking, and providing medication for dogs and cats.

I will absolutely treat your pets how I treat my own - a full, fresh bowl of water at all times, food when needed, treats for fun, and plenty of play time. I love taking dogs on long walks and snuggling up with a cat (or multiple cats!) and a good book. I am a pro at dog- and cat-proofing homes, but am just as comfortable crating your pets depending on your needs. I love to send photos and will gladly let you know how your baby is doing while you’re out. Spending time with pets is something I truly enjoy and I can’t wait to meet yours!

A few things that are helpful to know: Please let me know if your dog has any behavioral issues or anxious tendencies (ex. chews on loose clothing/ furniture, afraid of thunderstorms, hiding spots, etc.). Do you have a preferred cleaner for pet accidents on wood flooring/carpet/furniture? If your dog takes medication, how do they normally behave when it’s time to administer? Are they good taking from your hand or do you need to hide in a pill pocket/cheese/etc.? Do they tend to spit pills out? Should they take with food? Any extra details you can provide will be much appreciated!
A typical day
I am a huge fan of walks. I take my own dog on several long walks each day around my neighborhood and would love to do the same for yours! I tend to switch up my route frequently to keep things interesting. I also enjoy playing fetch and tug of war and setting up treat puzzles/snuffing mats for dogs that require a mental challenge. I’m more than happy to incorporate your pup’s play/ exercise preferences into our schedule together!

I work full time on a hybrid schedule, but have plenty of time on the weekends and typically am free during the evenings after 6 pm.
