I worked as an animal keeper, trainer and educator and the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium and the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo for 7 years before becoming a high school biology and environmental studies teacher. I take positive reinforcement, treatment, and cuddling of dogs very seriously. My favorite dog is the one I currently am looking at :) I like to be outside and as a teacher, I have a lot of time on my hands for the summer months. I want to offer my animal handling/training skills and time to those who need it. I share my home with rescued a lovely Pitt mix. It took awhile to get her used to walking on a leash and comfortable with others but thanks to some patience and a gentle-leader we are doing great. In the past I had a former racing greyhound and as a child I had every pet imaginable. I have worked with over a hundred species, including alligators, owls, and servals.
