Pet care experience

I am a huge animal lover who has experience with animals from dogs and cats, to snakes, spiders, rodents, ruminants, and livestock. I have lived on farms and in suburbs, so I am capable of adapting to your needs and providing excellent care of your pets at all times. I have raised puppies and kittens and baby rodents as well, so the youngest creatures are safe in my care. I provide plenty of pictures and updates so you know they're doing well, stay with them at all times, and listen to their needs. I have multiple verbal references available if requested.

3rd time to have Evan sit for our boys. And trust me when I say I am very picky about who stays with our little dudes.. they are our kids !!... She is wonderful. Sends updates along with pictures. Responds quickly to any questions I may have while we are gone. Boys love her and house was even in better shape than when we left. Recommend VERY highly !!!

We hit the Jackpot when we found Evan on Rover !! Our usual sitter had medical issues arise quickly, only giving us less 3 weeks to find someone for our boys. Evan responded quickly and was able to schedule a meet and greet & book us right away for our 18-day international trip. She did a practice night stay.. which my boys loved her from the moment she walked in the door. She took such wonderful care of them, sending photos and updates throughout our trip.. which allowed us to enjoy our vacation and not worry about our dudes while we were gone. Both boys are older and do not like to be alone, and one is almost deaf, but she was so patient with them . She followed all the dog sitting instruction flawlessly, and we felt cared for them as if they were her own. If you are looking for a trustworthy, reliable and caring pet sitter- look no further! We have already booked Evan for next month! I would be more than happy to give her a verbal reference if anyone so desires. ☺

This was our first time booking Rover and wasn't sure what to expect. BUT Evan was wonderful.. She did exactly what was asked.. Our 2 older dogs can be a bit high maintenance with health issues.. But I can not say enough on how great she was. She stayed the entire time with them, and loved up on them as if they were her own. You can tell Evan loves what she is doing ..We have her booked for our next trip !

Evan has always been the one that took in all of the sick or enjured animals, no matter what it was. She would nurse it back to health and then find a home for it, release it back to the wild or keep it. I think she loves animals more than people. She would be a good animal care giver.

I have one dog and one cat of my own at the moment, and both are very good with other animals, so if your dog is staying in my home they do not have to be crated or contained in a room unless they are known to be aggressive or destructive. Please note: I CANNOT have dogs over 30 pounds for boarding, but I do offer house-sitting services for dogs of all sizes. I DO have a fenced yard, but it is cement throughout and not a place to potty. If your pet needs to potty they will be walked either behind the yard (for aggressive dogs) or within our gated community. In your own home, I can provide any walking in the neighborhood, take dogs into the yard, hang out and play with your pets. I also can walk your cat or other animals if they are trained to do so and the environment is secure for them. Camera monitoring is fully acceptable in your home outside of private areas (such as bathroom).

DOGGY DAYCARE: Shot records, including rabies and bordetella in particular, are required for daycare due to the possible presence of other dogs. Dogs must be less than 30 pounds but more than 5 pounds, people and pet-friendly, not in heat, and in good health. If they do not meet these conditions, please speak to me; I may be able to provide alternative arrangements. You may drop-off and pick-up your pets at any hours (WE OFFER OVERNIGHTS!). OTHER PET CARE: Do you have small pets? Reptiles? No worries. As an add-on service to traditional dog or cat care, I watch small pets at the same rate as my additional dog fee per pet or per cage. Depending on type of pet, one cage may count as one pet (e g. multiple small rodents in one enclosure). Talk to me!

A typical day

BOARDING IN MY HOME and DOGGY DAYCARE: Your pets are welcome to enjoy quiet time, play fetch down our hallway or in our community dog park, go on walks in our gated community if they walk on leashes well, and I can work on some basic obedience training and potty training. My dog is very friendly and would love to play with yours if comfortable, but she can be separated as well. Feedings offered minimum of twice per day or on your schedule if more are needed. A typical day will be walk or go outside, obedience training if requested, a morning meal, play with human/other pets, rest, outside again weather permitting, relaxing evening, an evening meal, then walk or outside before bed. Any modifications to this basic schedule as outlined must be clarified prior. HOUSESITTING IN YOUR HOME: Your schedule reigns supreme here! I will adapt to whatever routine you ask, feedings on your pet's preset times, walks, playtime, etc. I do not leave client's houses for more than 8 hours at a time, and no more than twice per week typically. I do not drive - this is a safety consideration for myself. If transportation is necessary, my husband Austin will provide such. If you have a vehicle at your property I can drive in an emergency, but due to a medical condition it must be energent. That being said, it ensures I spend plenty of time with your babies!
