Pet care experience
I’ve been taking care of dogs and cats since early childhood! We always had cats and dogs, and for a brief period my family bred a few liters of puppies which gave me a lot of experience cleaning up and administering care. I regularly sat and cared for dogs and cats for neighbors, often in high school and into college. It’s so rewarding! There are so many things an animal may communicate and one must pay close special attention to truly understand how to best care for each pet. Sometimes naps are needed; or it’s time for play! It’s all about following their lead and making sure they’re safe, happy and cared for! I only take the absolute best care of animals, I understand how they communicate and greatly respect their individuality and agency. I'll take careful watch and watchful care - and will make sure to apply your notes and instructions diligently!

Evan was amazing, from first contact through house sitting. He asked a lot of questions to make sure I was even comfortable with him even accepting the job. His follow-up (I booked way in advance) was professional and pro-active on his part. Daily pictures of a very happy Husky, and details on how the day went. I cannot recommend Evan enough, from the protection I have for my Husky to my house, I would not hesitate to trust both with Evan again.
We were so impressed with the care Evan provided while we were away. I recently hired Evan to house sit and care for my 20-year-old cat, who is very shy and doesn't warm up to strangers easily. Evan was able to win her over immediately. He took great care of her, following her special feeding schedule, playing with her, and making sure she had everything she needed. He also sent some photos during our trip which were endearing and so appreciated! Upon our initial meeting, his knowledge base was very apparent, and he asked me great questions about our cat, I hadn’t even thought of, to ensure she had all her needs met. Evan also took meticulous care of our home and went above and beyond to care for everything. Our house was immaculate when we got home. In addition to all this, Evan has a very welcoming, likeable demeanor. He's easy to talk to and makes you feel comfortable right away. He’s the best you could ask for! Here are some specific things that Evan did that I appreciated: • He took the time to learn about my cat's specific needs and preferences. • He was very responsive to my messages and questions. • He went above and beyond to make sure my cat was happy and comfortable. • He left my home clean and tidy. • He was/is a pleasure to interact with. • He is trustworthy I would definitely hire Evan again and would highly recommend him!

If they prefer, they can stick my side 24/7! Understanding when a pet needs to relax and check in on their own is important, so that I can give them some space and move my direct attention onto something else, but keeping a direct line of connection open with them at all times. We can play indoors or outdoors, for walks or just running about the yard for zoomies!

A typical day
I love going to parks and around the quieter downtown streets! It's also wonderful to visit Belle Isle. Playtime is important as well; when playing their favorite games, it’s best to pay attention to the subtle signals an animal gives to communicate their needs and intentions!

I work from home and have capacity to fully provide 24/7 care! I’m a recent MI->AZ transplant and don’t yet go out into town much, usually just at home or out on a hike around my neighborhood!
