Dog Trainer with a Fenced in Yard!
Pet care experience
I have successfully fostered and boarded dogs both in my home and while working at a professional boarding/training center. I volunteer with local shelters and a regional K9 search and rescue group, and have dog sat for many animals both in my home and at my clients home. Elderly, puppies, and special needs dogs are a specialty of mine as I am experienced with administering medication, physical therapy exercises, and specialty diets. I have one pup of my own, Winny, who loves to make new friends and invite others to play. We just moved to Norwalk and our fenced in 1/3 acre is perfect for dogs who live in apartments to give them a chance to roam, explore, and play! Looking forward to meeting you!
Reviews
Evan and his family have become Cooper's second family. I often travel for work, and Cooper loves visiting his home away from home. He is always well cared for, happy, and nicely "fluffed" and brushed when we reunite. Evan is also very flexible about drop-off times and willing to pick up and deliver Cooper if our schedule is tight. He is great with communication and keeping us in the loop with photos. Overall, excellent Rover family!
Evan and his family are just amazing. My English cream golden retriever - Loki , just didn’t want to leave his place when we went to pick him up after 4 days. Evan had to come to our car to drop Loki because he wouldn’t move 😂 and Loki legit sulked for hours after reaching home because we brought him back. Clearly shows how much he loved his stay at Evan’s place. Loki had a great time with Evan, his family and his dog - Winny. I can blindly recommend him to all the dog parents out there. Thank you once again, Evan .
Wow, that’s all I can say. We were in a tough situation as we were traveling from Texas to Minnesota and Wayne got so sick. He had to be taken by ambulance to the hospital. Evan was there early in the morning to pick the dogs up, in fact, the whole family was there. They sent pictures they sent updates. .as we did not know how many days of Rover we needed. They were completely flexible with us and each day when I text and say I need one more day they were very amenable to that. They prayed for Wayne , I think they still are. My dogs were relaxed and happy, not anxious at all. I believe they got the best care I could’ve found for CoCo and PoPee.
How precious to find a family who welcomed our humungous bear to invade their home over the Christmas holidays! Cooper loves Evan's family and always comes home happy with his fluff brushed, having enjoyed time with other sweet pups. Thank you for taking such good care of Cooper.

We want your pet to experience the love and care that they have in your home, so we love doing meet and greets to get to know them and understand their rhythms and routines. Whether they sleep in kennel, on a dog bed, etc, we will allow them to adapt to what they are used to and will never force them into a routine or structure that they won’t enjoy. Please note that although my preferences say we have dogs up to 100 lbs our household is best suited for dogs up to 70 lbs and it depends a lot on their temperament. Rover doesn’t have a good in-between size option to choose between medium and large dogs : )

Information Evan H. would like to know about your pet
Age and breed is always good to know, but I have worked with all types of dogs and love them all! I like to ask how they do with kids, cats, and other dogs as we have all 3 : )
A typical day
Fun, fair, and disciplined interactions with your furry friends! I love to play and romp, all the while respecting the training that so many dog owners work hard to instill in their pets. I have worked as a behavior consultant for shelters and training centers and can even help your dog with ongoing training. I love to walk along nature trails, throw balls and frisbees, and simply be there for those special dogs that just like having someone around.

Someone is always home, as my wife works from home, so your pup will be taken care of just as much as they are when they are at home!
