Pet care experience
I have cared for dogs (and cats) of my own every day for the past 20 years of my life, and cared for neighbors' dogs full time every summer. I have raised 13 newborn kittens (and their mom!), an aging chihuahua with diabetes, and everywhere in between. Pets are meant to move, meant to play, and meant to be around a human who cares! When you can't be there, I'll be sure to give them the attention and the love they're used to getting. I have lived without pets for a few years, and can't wait to have a dog (or cat!)-filled life again! My schedule is very predictable, with weekday availability after 6PM and Friday nights through Sundays nights entirely available. I live in San Francisco and can get anywhere that's train/bus/etc. accessible within an hour. I also work in the Bay area, so I am more than happy to help out with extended house-sitting or frequent, repeated walks! Talk to you soon!

Eva was amazing!! Super responsible and communicative. For our first meet and greet with the dogs she kept me up to date with her arrival time, down to the minute. She sent us photos throughout her weekend staying with our pups, and kept me up to date on their fun-filled schedule! She was SO great with the dogs -- the immediately took to her. Our property manager came by for a maintenance issue while we were away and she commented on how calm and happy the dogs were around her. She took them on lots of walks and hikes while we were gone -- we joked that we we returned home the dogs would be like, can we have Eva back???? Definitely will be hiring Eva if we go out of town again!
Eva is a truly magical person. She is the dog/cat owner's dream-come-true when it comes to combining dependability and responsibility with a down-to-earth yet high energy and fun attitude. Eva will do everything it takes to ensure that you and your pets are happy, healthy, and at ease. She is great with animals and humans alike, and loves and respects all living things. I always love hearing Eva's stories about her dogs growing up and about animals she's taken care of for friends and family. How lucky you and your dog(s)/cat(s) will be to have her!

I tend to like (love) pets of all breeds, all sizes, and all ages! I would like to know what best calms your dog or cat down should they become nervous (or defensive around other pets while on a walk). If they have particular quirks (certain treat for a certain trick, particular whistle/call they respond to, do well or not so well with other animals, like watching Animal Planet while humans are out of the house, etc.), I'd love to hear that prior to the visit so I am best prepared.
A typical day
I prefer walking, hiking, dog parks, and anything else outdoors! I love exploring the small parks around my neck of the woods (Glen Canyon Park, Billy Goat Hill, Bernal Heights Park, Stern Grove), and also love getting out to see other parts of the Bay! A recent favorite is Simple walks around the block are just as enjoyable! I am thoroughly free on weekends, and can drop in for a walk, administering medication, or feeding during the weekdays. I am able to get to most places in the Bay Area by 6:30PM latest on weekdays.
