Pet care experience
A life long dog owner and animal lover, I have been dog walking and sitting part time since 2015 and I would love to provide a safe and loving environment for your pet while you’re away. I have an 8 year old mellow German shorthair pointer who gets along swimmingly with dogs of all ages and play levels. I am a 2 day a week student, a freelance photographer, and a waitress so my schedule has high flexibility and I’m never away from home for more than 4 hours. I am new to Bellingham but I come with plenty of past references for your peace of mind. I provide 3 walks a day including a morning run and an evening hike to Winnie so your dog will receive plenty of potty breaks and outside time. I can provide plenty of puzzles, licking matts, sniffing toys and other stimulation so your dog stays busy and never bored. I know how stressful and uncertain it can be to put your family member in the care of a stranger and I want to provide an amazing experience for both you and your pet so a meet up before services is something I highly suggest and welcome. Your trust means so much to me.

Eva stayed with our boys for a 10 day stretch and did a very good job. This was the first time we have left them, and we’re super pleased with the communication and how well the house looked when we returned. The boys loved Eva. Would highly recommend her to any dog parent for house sitting.

I think the secret to a dog’s positive experience away from their parent is a sense of stability and routine, plenty of exercise tailored to their needs, appropriate socialization, and comfort when needed. I want to know all about your dogs care so I can as closely as possible replicate their ideal environment away from you and give them some awesome new experiences based on their personality and needs. Winnie is amazing at taking cues from other dogs and she is happy to play or leave be when necessary. I am willing to crate, allow on bed, or keep off furniture; whatever you do with your dog is what I will replicate.

Winnie is a mostly off leash dog, if your pet cannot be off leash please let me know. If your pet has particularly extreme high energy (herding breeds like collies, Shepards, heelers, etc.) I may not be a good fit as my apartment is 500 square feet. If your dog has any aggression patterns especially food related I need to know. My building has seriously cracked down on dog related noise so if you have an excessive barker I am not a good fit. I wish it wasn’t an issue, but I need to respect my neighbors so please be thoughtful. If your dog barks and cannot be calmed I will ask you to come and pick them up. Please help me guarantee that your dog and I are a good fit. Extra charges If you would like to book a service same day I charge $20 as a convenience fee for last minute booking. If you would like end times extended more than two hours past the booked one, I had an extended charge for you to modify within the booking. If your dog damages property in a way that I could not have prevented I charge $40 and may ask additional compensation for extreme damage. By booking with me you agree to these terms.
A typical day
Winnie and I typically wake up at 8 every morning and start with breakfast and a walk. Usually this is followed by my morning cleaning, editing, and errands, and before or after dinner we do a hike or dog park visit. After having her out for at least a hour we have a quiet night around the house and then one final walk between 9-11 before bed.

My schedule never forces me away from home for more than 4 hours at a time so I plan my entire day around ensuring time to get outside with Winnie.
