Hi! I’m Eunice, and I am so excited to get to know you and your pets! I decided to create a Rover profile at the end of April 2023, so I am still fairly new to this platform but I am definitely not new to working with animals and pet sitting. I was a veterinary technician for 8 years, and was promoted to Associate Manager for my last 2 years in the field. While I have decided to pursue a different career, my passion & love for animals has never stopped and now explore other ways I can do what I love outside of a clinical setting. I have 5 cats of my own who I love more than anything and look for every opportunity that will allow me to care for pets in my spare time. My experience in the field has given me the ability to be able to make educated decisions about my own pets health care, and has made it possible for me to easily pinpoint any signs of illness or injury in dogs and cats. On top of my vast veterinary experience, I have always been the go-to pet sitter for my friends and family when they are out of town. As a bonus, I am extremely experienced with medicating both dogs and cats (oral, intramuscular or subcutaneous)! I am certified in CPR and both dogs and cats and have successfully performed CPR numerous times in a hospital setting.

Eunice did a wonderful job and was attentive to the little things that make a big difference. She gave us peace of mind while we were away that our cats were well looked after. They all seemed to warm up to her well. We would definitely book her again.

I love my cats so so much and would do anything for them. I keep that in mind when I care for other people’s pets and treat them like my own. I know how stressful it can be to leave your pets at home while you’re away, especially with someone you’re meeting over an app. I want to be able to relieve pet parents of that stress and anxiety by providing excellent care and routine updates and photos of your pet throughout your absence. Not only can you depend on coming home to a happy and healthy pet, but also a clean home. My goal is always to leave it as clean as it was when I left. Nobody likes coming home from a vacation with cleaning to be done!! I can also provide references upon request for pet sitting.

It’s important to know of any medical conditions, medications, or allergies. Also, it is important to know how your dog reacts to other pets, people, or wildlife we may encounter during walks. Please also let me know what type of behaviors are typical for your pet (that you know of) when they're in a situation that may be stressful for them with their owner not present so I can be prepared :)

Availability
My current schedule allows me to work from home Wed-Friday and requires me to be in office all day Monday and Tuesdays with the exception of holidays. My office is located in Tacoma and I do have the ability to leave during my lunch break to do a check in if I need to. On the days that I do telework, it allows me to be with your pets all day, let them out for frequent outside time and potty breaks, and tend to whatever else may pop up during my stay. Please let me know if you have a work station or an extra monitor that I can use during my stay, as that would be extremely helpful but definitely not required.
