I grew up in Sunnyvale, and I just moved to Oakdale with my husband, three kids, a dog, three rabbits, a gecko, a tortoise, a hamster, and five fish. My philosophy is that pets are part of the family. I am now teaching my children to be good pet parents. In my youth I raised three guide dog puppies - two became working guide dogs and one lived with my family and was a breeder for Guide dogs. Growing up we always had one or two dogs, cat, birds, fish, turtles, you get the picture! I've raised mostly female labs and golden retrievers. Five years ago we adopted a Cavachon named Apollo, and last fall we adopted a puppy named Zack - he is now 1 years old. Apollo is in my profile picture and Zack is in the gallery. When your dog is in our care it will be a family affair! The kids will help give your fur baby a lot of attention! We are home weekends and my husband works from home. Since this is a family activity we all pitch in. Our dogs are attached to us so they go where we go. Inside, outside and on family outings if safe and appropriate for pups! We care for the pets in our home. First we introduce the house, yard, dogs, and other pets to our Rover guest. Then we give them space to explore. We make sure the dog is with us and well cared for. We separate the dogs during meal time if necessary.
