I got my first dog when I was 7 and since then I've lived with 3 others as well. I would take care of my nana's 2 dogs, both known for being unfriendly, and I've dogsat informally for many friends. I've dealt with both young explosive energy dogs as well as older dogs who want nothing more than to lay in the sun while they get petted, and both are wonderful. Each individual dog will have its' own individual needs. My dog's name was Jewels and she had a lot of energy always needing long walks and park trips. She was a beautiful boxer beagle mix. It's important to me that the owner is happy, and it's even more important to me that the dog is happy. I have had to give dogs medicine, so with exception for violent dogs I can make sure your pup swallows their pill.
