Pet care experience
I have lived with 3 different dogs ever since I was 9 year old. When I went to college, I constantly fostered dogs when I knew I couldn't afford adoption just yet, just because I loved them, loved taking care of them, loved engaging with them so much. My favorite dog I fostered was Pippin who was rescued from a mountain. She had heart warm, anxiety, ear infections, and a tumor in her butt. Because she was "flawed", I loved her even more and took care of her like my own dog... Oh, I just shed tears thinking about her... :( I am also a dog whisperer. Dogs like me even when they are just walking pass by me. Of course, I stop to every dogs to connect with them when their owners allow me to! I'd love to meet your dog and be friends to them!

It was a good experience. Esty kept us posted on Preta's routine, sent us pictures and videos and seemed to give her a lot of love and attention (she even took her to work haha). To be honest, the only concern was the size of her apartment, where Esty lives with two roommates. This should not be a issue for smaller dogs, but Preta is medium size (50lb) and really energetic. We thought she would be more comfortable in a bigger place. Moreover, Esty told us that one of her roommates is not comfortable with "bigger dogs"... so it could be a problem... Because of that, I would definitely recommend her for small dogs or even bigger ones who are really calm or used to small places! She loves dogs and this is the most important thing. :)
Esty was great with Buddy! She and her roommate took him in and sent great picture updates. After booking her for a night one weekend we realized we had to go out of town on short notice the next weekend and Esty and Marte took him in again. I would recommend Esty to anyone!

A typical day
I live in Lincoln Park area. I love taking dogs to Lake Shore. If you live up north, I'd take them to Montrose Beach (Doggy friendly beach) as well. I also have 2 roommates who are lover of dogs and very supportive about me signing up for this job. The dog will get plenty of attention!
