Pet care experience
I love animals more than anything and will treat yours as my own. Their well being and safety is my #1 priority, then getting lots of love. I am an experienced dog owner of 20 years and have cared for an array of breeds, ages, and needs. I also have hundreds of volunteer hours at dog shelters and farm sanctuaries. I have my K9 Coach Certification through Animal Friends Alliance to train and handle shelter dogs with high behavior problems, using Only Positive Reinforcement. I am physically fit, reliable, intuitive, patient, kind, honest and I love being outside. I can't wait to meet you and your best friend. We're going to have a ball! Can't even express how amazing of a sitter Esther is; if she's able to handle our dog, she is genuinely able to handle ANY dog. We have a rescue with triggers, anxiety, and "bad manners," but Esther cared for her with grace and understood exactly how to engage with her. We left for our 3-day trip feeling confident of Ellie in Esther's care, and each drop-in further reassured us that our pup was in the best of hands. Aside from being a rockstar with rescues, Esther takes INCREDIBLE check-in pictures - honestly some pictures we plan on getting framed, they're that focused and high-quality. Esther's passion for animals is evident from the very first greet, and we will plan to book Esther for any and all future pet sitting needs. Thank you so much, Esther - Ellie loves you!
Esther has been fantastic with our two dogs! She's been helping us for a few years with daily walks and overnight house-sitting when we've been traveling. Esther has taken great care of our dogs (and our house) and we always feel better knowing they are in good hands. The only downside: I'm pretty sure our dogs love being with Esther more than us :)
Esther walked my dog Duck twice a week for well over a year and was wonderful. She was so nice to Duck and Duck was always so excited to see her. I trusted Esther completely to take good care of her. She was very communicative and sent fantastic pictures and updates from each visit. She was extremely reliable and I was so grateful to have her caring for Duck! We highly recommend her!!
Any pet parent knows that travel becomes exponentially ore difficult when you bring four legged members into the family. We have tried boarding at kennels before but nothing compared to the care and attention that Esther provided to our two pups. We couldn’t have asked for a better dog sitter. From giving us regular updates to the awesome pictures she took of our boys we were put at ease from the start. We now feel like we have more opportunities to travel and know our dogs are safe, loved, and happy. I would absolutely recommend Esther and will be using her in the future as well.

While I'm staying at your home, dropping in or walking your dog I will try to keep the same schedule and things consistent as that makes pets feel more at ease. I will follow your specific instructions and pay attention to your pet as an individual. They will gets lots of love, exercise, and mental stimulation, depending on their needs.

Feeding and water instructions? Food aggression? Allergies? Are they good with other dogs and cats? Are they good with strangers and kids? Triggers? Territorial? Are they allowed on the furniture? Special needs? Medicine? Daily routine? Favorite toy and activity? Crate trained? Potty trained? Escape Artist? Training already implemented that I can work on? For extended stays, can we go on field trips? (Roomy and reliable vehicle) Any other special instructions...
A typical day
For drop-in visits and quick walks, we will go around the neighborhood, to the park or play in the backyard. Frisbee, running, tug of war, catch, fetch, etc. If it's a cold day and we won't be out for too long, we will find something engaging and stimulating to do inside. I know how important it is to get that doggy energy out. If I have them all day, I would love to go on a hike, find some water to play in or go for a long run. I enjoy every bit as much as they do!
