Animal lover and veterinary nurse!
Pet care experience
I love and care for animals very much. I have schooling done leading towards my associates degree in veterinary medicine. I have 7 plus years experience working in a clinic as a veterinary nurse and kennel technician at a boarding facility. I have two little ones of my own that are my babies, so I know how important they can be. I know exactly what it takes to take care of your loved ones and make them feel comfortable. I have experience in medicating, bathing, nail trims, training in good behavior and those most important commands. Pets always bring an exciting adventure and happiness in this world. I enjoy being a part of that and seeing my clients wagging their tails or rubbing for more attention any day!
Reviews
Esther has been working in the animal care field for almost six years now, working her way up from being a kennel assistant to now being the supervisor of nurses at a Veterinary Hospital in Martinez, California. Having so much experience as a nurse is a vital aspect of being a pet sitter. Being able to identify an animal in distress is vital if something were to go wrong while pet sitting. Which could happen, but she would be able to determine if a trip to the emergency room is necessary, and as a nurse she could assure clients that their pets will be getting the best care possible. She always does what is in the best interest of the animal, and understands the importance of following instructions, no matter what. This would be pertinent during feeding and medication instructions. For example, when a pet is on a specialized diet and cannot have any other food she would understand the importance of that food and would not make that mistake of feeding the wrong food. This also applies to medicating animals, for example patients on insulin need to be given a precise amount at lease twice a day and she has more than enough experience on knowing the units the animal would need, someone without this experience might give a animal 5 units instead of 0.5 units, and if you were to give 10 times the dose would kill the animal. This knowledge would be crucial to someone taking care of a diabetic animal, and she would also be able to interpret glucose readings. She would be able to know what to do if the animals insulin was to high or to low and she would react accordingly. I think Ester is an excellent pet sitter and I have personally trusted her with the care of my baby Shadow. I would highly recommend her as your next pet sitter. Sincerely, Nadine

A typical day
I love to see dogs happy and those tails wagging. Anything you need during the visit I can do, whether we are sitting getting to know each other or taking a nice walk. I want to make them feel comfortable and never scared. I will make sure they are tucked in for bed, I am unavailable for overnight with having my two at home that need me but I will do everything to make sure your loved one is taking care of as many visits needed. :)
