Pet care experience
I’ve been around dogs my entire life due to my Grandma. I played with and walked her dogs since the age of 10. Now I have my own dog and have been his sole care taker since he was 8 weeks. I love walks with my dog and our sessions of tug-a-war, fetch, or whatever he’s in the mood for. Caring for and engaging with dogs and puppies brings me joy. I know we want to give our furry friends the world, but that can be a bit of a struggle without some help. I’d love to be able to assist you, the owner, with providing nothing but the best for your furry friend.

Essence is amazing! She watched my golden doodle while I was out of town on a work trip. My dog is really high energy and Essence made sure to take her on several walks a day as well as giving her time to run around outside. She fed her on schedule and made sure my dog got her medication when needed. When I picked my dog up she was worn out from playing and was so happy. I could just tell she was well taken care of while I was gone. Essence is super trustworthy and I would definitely leave my fur baby with her again!!

Not only does she love these furry friends, but she has a Chow-Chow of her own named Yuri and I’ve witnessed her love and care for him since he was a puppy. She is a great pet owner. She treats her dog like he truly is her son. She is great at giving direction to Yuri, has trained him well, takes him for nice long walks, and has him on a normal schedule that works for him. When he wants to play she is always active, engaged, and playful with him. When he wants to relax, she leaves him be. I would trust Essence to care for my pet because she is attentive and caring for animals, and has the personal daily experience which shows she is knowledgeable and highly capable in pet caregiving! I meet the dog where they are for walks as I know every dog is different and some prefer longer walks compared to others. I always use a leash and like to keep the dog close to my side. I’m very observant of any distractions that may cause the dog to pull, and prepare for any pulling by bringing the dog closer to me and using a slightly tighter grip. I am not a rough player with dogs and never push the dog over their limit.

I like to know their temperament, what they love and what they dislike, if they have any health issues such as hip dysplasia or anything that’ll affect our time together.
A typical day
We would play mental and physical games such as fetch. I’ll let the dogs chase me and I’ll run around with them outside. Inside, we can play the dog’s favorite game or play with their favorite toy. I like to take dogs to walk in a trial by my neighborhood.
