Pet care experience
I'm a certified, experienced dog trainer and former vet assistant with 11 years experience caring for and training dogs. Meet and Greets are required for all new clients and, depending on your location, I may offer free pick up and drop off! My home is set up specifically for pets and my backyard is "for the dogs"! With an agility play set, large tunnels, trees, and daily enrichment activities. My personal dog, Akari, has grown up with new friends visiting frequently and is an excellent hostess. My close friend Cady often helps care for pets and you will certainly have the opportunity to meet her as well! She is a ray of sunshine and I've yet to meet a dog who didnt want all of her snuggles. We are both canine first aid and CPR certified (we recertify annually) and each year we work on furthering our education in different areas. This year my focus was on anxiety and reactivity. Next year I'll be focusing on fitness and nutrition. I have worked in boarding facilities and veterinary clinics my entire life. Animals are my passion in life and I'm always on the hunt for new ways to provide the best care possible! I hope to get the opportunity to meet your best friend soon!
Reviews
Eryn was amazing. Very responsive and caring. The pup loved being around. Don’t forget to make use of the free pick up and drop service, which is very convenient.
Josie seemed very happy when she came home from boarding at Eryn’s. Eryn was very responsive and the pickup and drop off was so easy!
Eryn and The Clever Dog crew were wonderful! They communicated a lot and had detailed information about how our Bentley’s day went. Most importantly they took amazing care of Bentley. He had a great time and came home happy! Thank you!
Eryn does a great job with the dogs! She makes sure to give individual attention to each dog, and makes sure they all get plenty of playtime. She really cares for the dogs and puts a lot of time and effort into them. I would recommend her as a sitter to anyone!

Information Eryn D. would like to know about your pet
I need to know that any dogs staying with me are dog, cat, and child-friendly. My children have been raised by a dog trainer who is also a strict mother. They know the basic rules of canine safety and both are learning to read canine body language. That being said, they are children and do live in the home. I would not be comfortable having a dog who did not like children as it would require them to be separated from people frequently and that would not live up to my standard of quality care for the pet.
A typical day
Potty breaks happen first thing in the morning followed by breakfast. After a short break to let stomachs settle, we are back outside to play. We vary daily activities based on weather and the interests of the dogs currently with us. We play fetch, work on basic obedience commands, run through the agility course (No jumps as they are high impact.), and enjoy socializing and play time with other dogs. During the summer we have a doggy pool and in the fall we have pumpkins and hay bales for the dogs to play with. We have down time after lunch, which is as important for dogs as it is for children. They need time to rest their minds and bodies! Typically, we do 1 on 1 time in the evening. I make it a point to ensure each dog that stays with me gets individual bonding time every single day. This means there are no other dogs around. It's just 1 human and 1 dog interacting. This is so important when building or maintaining a relationship with any dog. We may play games, go for a walk, or just hang out in the garden. It's really up to the dog. We do dinner and potty breaks, usually more play time and then bed.

I mostly work from home and my schedule is very flexible and allows me a lot of freedom. I do occasionally have private training lessons or children's events to attend.
