I’ve been watching pets for Rover for about 5 years now! If you choose us to care for your pet, you're making a great choice! My wife and I are animal people, and we've had dogs our whole lives. We've taken care of puppies, old pups, cats and have experience administering medication and taking care of special needs dogs. I know it's hard to find someone reliable and safe to leave your pets with because we have the same issue when we go on trips. Rest assured your pet will be taken care of as I would like my boys to be treated when they're on vacation. We have a small morkie and a shetland/retriever mystery dog that love to make new friends! If your pet has a medical condition or doesn't like to play I can also keep them separated if you prefer. If your dog doesn't like sleeping alone they can hangout on a doggie bed next to ours. If you require any kind of accommodation, just ask! For the safety of our pets we cannot watch pitbulls, staffordshire terriers, German shepherds, Alaskan huskies, or unneutered males. We request that pets be up to date on their shots to help prevent illness while away or being around other pets. Pets that are not vaccinated can run the risk of catching kennel cough from dog parks, boarding facilities, etc. While we do encourage them to play and run, highly active dogs while supervised can still receive small nicks/scratches from playing and rolling around. If we notice one we will notify you and treat the small area with a pet-safe first aid powder. Meet and greets are required for all new customers. I work from home full-time, so there will always be someone at the house with your pet. I can also send as many updates/photos as you like! I am are very flexible with pick up and drop off times, so there is no pressure at all to change dates, or change pick up and drop off times :) You can have my personal cells and call/text/FaceTime with us anytime. Our home is completely open to your pet to roam around and explore. We have a large fenced in back yard for them to run around in supervised. We also have a large living room and a separate living room if your pup likes a quiet place to nap in. All areas are swept and mopped daily with a pet-safe anti-microbial, and dog beds are treated before and after to help prevent transmissible disease.
