Growing up, we always had a menagerie of animals! Always multiple dogs and cats and various other smaller friends. As soon as I had my own home, the very first thing I did was adopt a dog!

My 11-year-old daughter loves to pet all the animals. When we go out for walks, she frequently calls out to dog owners, “Excuse me! Can I pet your dog?” She is a huge help and loves when we are able to pet sit!

I find it most important to know how the dog will respond to other dogs. If we are out on a walk and see another dog, I like to know if it’s safe to let the dogs say hello with a friendly sniff. I also want to be sure that I’m aware of what treat brands are allowable - I definitely don’t want to give anyone an upset tummy!
A typical day
I love taking dog friends for walks on the beach. I also have a wonderful neighborhood for walking, with plenty of places to sniff around. My daughter often assists me with our pet clients, and she really enjoys playing fetch with both dogs & cats.

I have past experience working in veterinary offices and have in the assisted doctors with technical duties. I am also the sister of a very accomplished, veterinary technician, and I have gained invaluable information from her experiences.
