The Crazy Dog Lady

Pet care experience

I've cared for pets my entire life from the 3 cats my parents lived with when I was born to my lovable goofball, George (my 10-yr-old beagle mix) today. I love all animals and treat every pet as part of my family, even when they're not mine. I am truly the person who asks if the dog is OK in a movie. I do live in apartment without a yard, but my doggo gets a minimum of 4 walks a day, on a busy day, and as many as 8 on an off day, so yours will too! George loves the dog park as well, so if your dog is up for a romp, let me know! George lost his older brother, a wired-hair dachshund named Chester, two years ago and could use a companion. He has never met a dog he didn't like and treats everyone as a new best friend. He'd be thrilled to have a playmate, or a napping buddy, whichever your doggo prefers! If you are looking for a drop-in for your cat, I am a life-long cat lover. I am unable to board cats, however, as George is not such a fan. In home visits for cats are OK!

🙂 we’ve used Erin many times and always happy to have her taking care of our kitty. She’s easy to work with and communicates well- she also won over our somewhat cranky cat! He’s a fan.

Thank you for taking such good care of Bogangles. When my family is out of town it is so nice to know that my cat is well taken care of and getting lots of love and snuggles!

Boarding: Dogs with disabilities and chronic illness welcome. I am comfortable and familiar with caring for the elderly and feeble. Dogs with medications are OK. Your dog will have a companion in my George with regular walks and scheduled feedings. Feel free to bring any toys, beds or blankets your dog may need to feel comfortable in my home. I always say, this is my dog's apartment, I just live here, so your pet will be our new roomie! Drop-ins/walks: I am flexible and can work with your pet's normal schedule. George has a feeding schedule/routine, so I'm familiar and empathetic to dog's various neurosis! You'll have a 30 minute visit with play, love and anything else your pet may need.

Information Erin W. would like to know about your pet

Tell me how your dog generally behaves with other dogs. Is your dog OK being left alone for a typical 8 hr work day? What's your dog's comfort level with kids younger than 10? Has your dog been boarded previously? Oh, and what's your dog's favorite scratch spot?

A typical day

My neighborhood is perfect for dog walks with tons of grass, trees and squirrels. I live close to Black Jack dog park and Grist Mill dog park, both of which I frequent with my dog.

I work full-time in retail, so I typically work from 9-5 or 12-8, depending on the day. I can only take dogs that are comfortable being left for a normal work day. Rest assured, your pup and George will keep each other company and they will have no less than 4 walks/day. George does bark, and my neighbors haven't complained yet (they're kinda loud, too), so I'm not as concerned about noise as I am with destructive behaviors. George went through his rebellious years and chewed his way through clothing, shoes and books, so I do understand the nature of a dog with separation anxiety. If your dog has struggled with separation anxiety in the past, let me know any comfort techniques or triggers your dog may have and I will do my best to mitigate.
