Pet care experience
***I am currently not taking new clients. I now work extended overnight hours and am unable to provide the level of care that I feel is needed. As a result, I no longer take any requests and do not check this site at all. *** Hello! I am a veterinary professional looking for more "happy doggy time." Spending my days fixing up sick pets is an amazing career, but can be shy on the fun times like the walks, belly rubs, and cuddling on the couch. I am comfortable working with dogs and cats of all shapes and sizes, and I also have a background in pocket pets. I am happy to watch your special needs pet that may need a little extra TLC or multiple medications. I offer dog sitting in your home or mine. While I am happy to cat sit, I prefer to keep kitties in their own home as switching homes is often very stressful for them. I do have 2 lovely adult dogs at home (a golden retriever and a yellow labrador), but they will be kept in complete separation from your pet unless you specifically request play time. I have been in the veterinary field for several years, and I have been a pet sitter and rescue/foster mom for nearly a decade. I began studying animal science in 2005 and veterinary medicine in 2009. Despite my primary career, I am not able to provide medical advice for pets while acting as a pet sitter. I will, of course, be able to alert you if I feel that your pet has a pressing veterinary need during their stay and can arrange transportation to the clinic of your choice. My availability can vary substantially depending on the time of the year, please contact me for ongoing sitting needs. Many of the days I am listed as "unavailable" are just days when I am at work and can only visit every 6-7 hours instead of every 4.

We had such a great experience with Erin! She kept us up to date while we were away and sent pictures as well. Our dogs loved all the walks and cuddles she gave them while we were away. We have already booked for her to stay again.
Erin was fantastic!!!!! I have two dogs with special needs. One dog is a very senior dog with bad arthritis who takes a lot of medicine to manage his conditions. The other dog is a rescue dog who has a difficult time with new people and changes in her normal routine. Erin was able to make both dogs feel comfortable. She also was able to give my senior dog all his medicine on time which can sometimes be a challenge. She also sent pictures of my dogs and kept me updated on how my dogs were doing during her stay. I will definitely use her again
Erin is awesome! She was so good with my boy. He showed no signs of stress from his visit with her. I feel so lucky to have had her services!
Erin was great. Pictures and notes on our boy kept us up to date on his stay at home without us. Thanks for taking such good care of him.

All dogs that will be watched on my property must be up to date on vaccinations. I strongly recommend that they be on a flea preventative, as we are going to be spending time outdoors and it is peak flea season.
A typical day
I am willing to put in as much energy as your pet desires. I have an active pooch at home and know how stir-crazy some of these guys can get without their daily exercise. Alternatively, if you have an older pup that just wants to go outside to go potty then come in to snuggle, I am always glad to oblige. I typically try to take the pups out every 6 hours or so, but can bump up to every 4 hours if Fido has a tiny bladder. As I typically have to make several trips to the property or stay overnight away from my own pooches, I do typically charge an additional 5$ for care in your home vs. my own.
