Pet care experience
Hi there! I have 20+ years of experience with caring for animals, which is something I love to do and am very passionate about! I believe pets are a vital member of any family and are deserving of love and attention. Most of my experience is from caring for family pets, including small dogs, a pair of male rats, and even a horse (for a short time). I have cared for cats, and also have experience with larger dog breeds like labs and pitbulls, tree frogs, lizards, and monarch butterflies. I love being affectionate with animals and engaging in play time. I have significant experience with caring for pets that require extensive attention. I am open to learning how to care for pets with special needs although I prefer pets that are not violently aggressive (this excludes love bites). I am a fast learner and will adapt to your routine for a seamless pet care transition.

Erin is the best!
Erin is great! We've been working with her for a few months. Our 90lb dog, Hugo, has some territorial issues, so we wanted someone to work with us consistently and slowly work up to entering the house while we're away to take him for a walk. We started with Erin entering the house while our dog was crated, until he was comfortable eating from her hand. We then worked up to Erin entering the house with us, and finally entering the house and taking Hugo out while we were out of the house. Erin was great, very communicative with us, and our dog now loves her! We have been able to take multiple week long vacations, during which Erin took him on daily hour-long walks, something we weren't sure would be possible just a few months ago. We feel totally comfortable hiring her while we're away on vacation, and trust that she'll take care of our dog extremely well. We will certainly continue to hire Erin in the future.

There are many trails in the Oakland and Berkeley hills, but Leona Canyon and Skyline Gate at Redwood Regional are favorites. Otherwise, walks, play time and cuddles are the main activities.
