I have had dogs in my life since the age of 4 and have been in love with them ever since! These dogs include a lab, a retriever, and a mix of the two! After graduating college, I also worked at a doggy day care as a dog handler in large groups of off leash dogs. Here, I learned a lot about dog behavior. Not only do I have an affinity for domestic pets, but I was also raised very near to my grandparents sheep farm, where I experienced a whole different aspect of domestic species. However, all my animal care experience has driven me to pursue my passion as a zookeeper! I have worked with a variety of species, from reptiles and birds, to carnivores and primates, I've pretty much dipped my toes in a little bit of everything. So you can bet I will provide only the best care for your furry friend(s)! Currently, I have 2 four-legged friends of my own! Pumpkin is my recently adopted cat and Saphire (endearingly known as Saphy) is my little guinea pig. Since I've moved to an apartment in Fort Wayne I am unable to have a dog and I truly do miss them. I volunteer at Animal Care & Control once a week, but it's just not enough. Thus, I need to meet more furry friends! I do work full time at the Fort Wayne Children's Zoo, but in my spare time, I would love to watch your critters! I am most frequently available on Fridays & Saturdays, but would love to make any day of the week work if it's feasible. I love to stay active and play sports, so you can bet I've got the muscles to throw that tennis ball far. My Frisbee skills aren't too shabby either. Pumpkin can personally attest to my excellent cuddling skills, so if your dog is more of a lover than a baller, then I've still got you covered!
