Pet care experience
My earliest memories include dogs and cats, and my family has always had multiple pets around. I have fed, walked, bathed, and played with these animals for years, and I am currently a volunteer cat caregiver and small critter socializer at the Animal Refuge League of Greater Portland, where I have also taken a Dog Reactivity workshop to better understand why dogs react to cars, noises, other dogs, people, etc. and how to navigate this difficulty. In addition to cats and dogs, I have experience taking care of mice, rats, birds, and bunnies. I have lived with the tiniest of mice, a free-roaming bunny, a baby raccoon, and a cockatiel that lived to 28! I am currently the mama of a 3-year-old German Shepherd/Doberman and a 12-year-old Calico cat. Overall, animals bring me great joy, so I love to devote as much time to them as I can!

I do not currently offer sitting services, as I dedicate my free time to my own pets, but I promise to treat your animals just as well as I treat my own. I have experience walking dogs with gentle leads, harnesses, muzzles, and any basic leash. My own dog prefers fenced-in yards, but we have also utilized runners and outdoor leashes during times when a fence wasn't available. After meeting the pets and owners, I make sure to note any special habits or activities that the animal requires or enjoys, full-well knowing that each animal has their own personality. I look forward to meeting your pets and adapting any of my services for their well-being and your own!

Availability
I am currently a student at a local college, so my schedule is flexible around the times that others are typically at work. I am available more during the weekdays, as I devote most of my weekends to coursework. However, I am not opposed to a couple of walks or drop-ins. A cute pup or cat is a wonderful reprieve from schoolwork!
