Experienced tummy scratcher
Pet care experience
I started dog-sitting during college while getting an Animal Science degree from LSU. I thought I wanted to be a veterinarian, and worked at a vet clinic in kennels for 2 years where I gained professional experience in animal care, including administering medication and some grooming such as baths & nail trimming. Many of my current clients have dachshunds who've experienced Intervertebral Disc Disease, because they trusted me with knowing how to properly handle them. All of my clients are repeat clients, and include multiple animals such as cats, rabbits, tortoises, fish, and more. I make my clients comfortable being away from their pets by sending multiple updates, pictures, and videos of their pets throughout their time away from home. It's up to the client how often I send these, because of course I'm not trying to make you miss your fur babies to the point you can't enjoy your vacation! Haha. My bachelors prepared me for more than just companion animals - I also have experience watching farm animals, so if you're looking for someone to watch over more than just your dog - just ask! Rates will vary depending on type of animal and number of animals.
Reviews
Erin is great with pets! She gives them all the time and attention they need. Your dog will learn to love her just as much as she will love your dog!

Information Erin M. would like to know about your pet
Before booking, I would like to know your dog's (or dogs') age(s), heartworm status(es), if spayed/neutered, breed(s), and estimated weight. This will give me a better understanding of what to expect. Other information that is important for me to keep on file for your pet, for their safety, is your veterinarian's name & number, vaccinations, and any current medications or supplements they are taking. I don't have a preference with breeds, because I have experience sitting Dachshunds to Rhodesians in-house and caring for all breeds while working in kennels.
A typical day
For social, energetic furbabies, I would love to take them to the dog park (if they have experience going to one prior to my visit/stay and depending on their age). But there's always a special place in my heart for the elderly pups, who I would love to take on leisurely walks in pet-friendly parks or shaded Baton Rouge neighborhoods like the Garden District or Spanishtown, and spend time rubbing their tummies until they fall asleep.
