Hello my name is Erin, I am currently a student at FGCU and I am from Miami so once a month I go down to visit family and stay for the summer months. I am currently a senior in college and a marine science major. I may go to school but I have a flexible schedule and would love work something out with you if you need a sitter. I am willing to drive to your home and pet sit while you are away, that way they can still enjoy the comfort of their home. In the past I have traveled to pet sit and dog walk for others who kept coming back to me and loved that I treated their pups as I would one of my own. Ive handled dogs from all sizes, small dogs from Chihuahuas, Westies and Maltese, to medium and large dogs from Golden Retrievers, Boxers, some Pits and Akitas. There isn't much I have not dealt with but I know each dog is different and I would love to get to know and take care of yours while you are away! Why I love dog sitting I have been a dog lover since the day I could understand what a dog was. I was born into a home with a dog. In the first grade I got my first dog, a Golden Retriever who very quickly became my best friend whom I got the pleasure to name and train by myself. The day after Thanksgiving and a week short of her 13th birthday she passed due to old age. While having her, we have had two wonderful Maltese that we adopted from an agency and a shelter. One passed to a misdiagnosis at a vets and we are left with one Maltese now. Family pets also include two boxers whom I love very much! Other than my own pets, I have personally taken care of two Akitas, two Westies, a Schnauzer, a Boxer and a Pitbull puppy. Whom were all great pups and a couple were family or friends who trust me to take care of their pups. My experience administering medication I am comfortable administering by mouth medications as I like to make it easier on the pups and I let them take it with some peanut butter. It has worked in the past and still works now. If your pup has a peanut allergy I have found that wet dog food is another alternative. Not comfortable giving injections.
