Pet care experience
I’ve had pets of various kinds all my life and have been pet sitting professionally for at least 6 years. I have most experience with dogs and cats but I’ve also taken care of rodents, fish, and reptiles in the past. I have experience with Great Danes and greyhounds which required special care (medicines, special diet requirements, etc.) as well as many other sizes and types of dogs. I’ve looked after cats of all personalities and feel a special sense of accomplishment in winning over disinterested cats!

Erin was wonderful with our son's dog whom she had not had a chance to meet beforehand...an old dog, she gave him his pills and special food according to directions.
Erin was great with my dogs ! I was worried about my maltese as it was the first time we left her, but she loves Erin and we honestly came back to a clean house and 2 happy dogs that did not seem traumatized by us leaving ! I will definitely book Erin again ! thank you
Erin did a great job caring for our two dogs— one is anxious and the other is very energetic and she made a connection with both. We were out of the country and I appreciated her photos and updates. Will definitely rebook.
Erin watched Cooper for 4 nights at our house and she was fantastic! Very communicative, great with our pup, and a respectful houseguest. Highly recommended!

I am very respectful of different animals needs and wants. I consider myself to be very good at reading animal body language after living with dogs and cats (and other animals) my entire life. I willingly give space to the ones that need it and cuddle the ones that need attention. I’ve dealt with various sick and anxious animals while pet sitting and always make sure to do what I can to make the animal comfortable, clean up after it, and contact the owner as necessary. I fully understand that pets are part of the family and need to be taken care of as such.
Information Erin H. would like to know about your pet
It’s important for me to know how friendly a dog is to humans and to other animals. Do they have command training? Are they reactive to other dogs? Knowing the disposition and personality is important for my own interactions with the dog, as well as knowing how it will interact with others on walks. I’d also like to know any medication, dietary restrictions, or accommodations the dog needs. I also just like to get to know each dog’s personality!
A typical day
I love figuring out what each dog’s personality is and how they like to interact! If they want to play with a toy, take a walk outside, or like to be scratched in just a certain place. I love going on walks, especially in parks, so having a dog to take outside is a great excuse to explore more places.

I’m currently working part-time and I’m in graduate school part-time, so my schedule moves around week by week but has some flexibility. I will need at least 2 weeks notice for special schedule requirements.
