I had my beagle Bella for 16 years and when I lost her a few years ago I wasn't ready for my next Forever Beagle but I couldn't live without a dog in the house trying to grab my food! I decided to join the Atlanta Beagle Rescue as a Foster and after getting approved by them & certified by the state of GA I took on my first Foster! Since then I also become a foster for the RescueCoop which is a last-chance rescue out of North Carolina and have fostered some of the dogs with the most trauma since I have a quiet house and just me to give them one-on-one attention to get them ready for their Furever Homes. Additionally I have volunteered with the Atlanta Humane Society and helped rescue medical testing beagles through the Beagle Freedom Project. Saving dogs is a passion you could say. Since my first foster 2 years ago I have fostered 7 dogs that have gone on to get adopted and find Furever Families! I have experience with dogs of all ages and temperaments but prefer senior dogs and more chill dogs. I have experience taking care of dogs through surgeries, multiple medications needed a day, and basically, any situation that one can think of as the dog's care has always been a priority, and when I agree to foster or watch a dog that is a commitment I take seriously as if it were my own. I wanted to take a break from fostering during the holidays and help other pet parents as I know with my own dog it was the most stressful part of the holidays and wanted to provide a safe place where people could not have to worry about them.

Erin took such good care of our dog while we were on vacation. She shared pictures of the fun he was having and kept us updated every day. She treated him like he was her own!
I can be nervous leaving Louie with new people since she has separation anxiety and is very shy. She was very patient and understanding of Louie’s needs. She made Louie so comfortable and continued to communicate with me making me feel so much better. I will definitely trust her with Louie again and recommend sending your dog home to her.

My house is 100% dog friendly as many dogs have led to my house becoming dog proof and an open floorplan so they see me & can be near me wherever I am in the house. I have a fenced-in backyard with my back room sliding glass door that opens up to a deck and the backyard. I have beds all across the house as well as crates and there isn't a place where they aren't allowed.

A typical day
I'm working some from home but also looking for a new job so basically, here all day every day to take care of the pups. Sure it’s probably not healthy lol but the dogs run the house & I just follow their lead to make sure they always feel safe & comfortable. I have taken care of & fostered dogs with all personalities and needs so I have experience in all types of methods and ways to keep dogs entertained. I have pet puzzles, sniff mats, playing out in the yard, walking the neighborhood, and playful running around with them to keep them happy.

I'm working some from home but also looking for a new job so basically, here all day every day to take care of the pups. The best scenario is for me to keep them at my house during the trip/stay as they will have a consistent space to feel comfortable in with me here 24/7 for anything they need. For the fosters, I've been able to rearrange my schedule to fit their needs such as daily walks and they also are able to go out as many times as they need as my back sliding glass door opens up to the backyard.
