SERENITY DOG HOTEL

Pet care experience

PLEASE READ MY ENTIRE PROFILE AND ALL OF MY FAQ'S BEFORE SENDING ME A MEET AND GREET REQUEST OR BOOKING. Please click "Read more" below ! I look forward to caring for your pets. I have had two jobs working with dogs and other small animals. I worked for a dog resort in Franklin, TN. There, I took care of dogs by walking, playing, feeding and cleaning up after them. I also worked for a pet company in Grand Junction, CO. There, I went into peoples' homes and took care of their animals or I brought them into mine. Since then I have volunteered at a Humane Society. And most recently volunteered with Panhandle Pet Savers by bringing foster dogs into my home until they found a home. I am a former flight attendant so I have passed a government 10 year plus background check. I lost my best friend in December, he was 14 years old. I understand how important taking care of your pets is. My dog was my everything. If you choose to let me take care of your animals they will be protected and loved. I can also care for your dogs in my home so they will get my full love and attention as I have no other animals. Dear Future Rover Guests, I hope to be able to watch your dog/dogs. Here is some additional information to help us both out. I like to try and do a meet and greet at my house, not only so you can get to know me, but so your dog/dogs feel more comfortable when they come back for their vacay. I try to only watch dogs that are friendly with other dogs, if your dog/dogs do not get along with others I may still agree to watch them at a higher rate since I would not be able to take on any other clients. Other higher rates that may apply is during holidays, I charge an extra $10 per dog, the day before, the day of and the day after any major holiday, and for holiday weekends (some holidays have a minimum four night stay required). If your dog/dogs are under one year of age or not ONE HUNDRED percent potty trained an extra $25 fee will apply (whether staying one night or one week). If your dog is not spayed or neutered an extra $10 per day will be added. The reason for this is that the dogs that are not fixed tend to mark in the house which adds up to a lot of time and money and energy cleaning it up. Please feel free to bring their beds, toys and plenty of treats. Just remember that other dogs are here sharing their toys and they may not come back in one piece. I provide some treats if you forget, just don't want your little one to feel left out if everyone gets a treat and they don't. Also please remember to tell me if they have any allergies, I try to keep everyone separate at meal times, but food sharing has been known to happen. Also if your dog normally free feeds that might not happen here if other dogs are around wanting their food, so you might want to bring something special to put in their food so they will eat at the same time as everyone else. I do not provide dog food. Please feel free to ask me any questions I may not have covered. -As of June 1, 2017 I require your last name, address and a picture of your dogs shot records before the meet and greet. PLEASE READ ALL OF MY FAQ's below before sending me a meet and greet request !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FAQ's Your calendar says you are available, that means you will watch my dog(s)? -Maybe. A lot of times I am already tentatively booked, I could just be waiting on a meet and greet or someone to confirm a quote I have already sent. So feel free to send me a message and ask my availability. Your calendar shows you are unavailable. What does that mean? -That means I am either out of town or I am booked watching dogs that do not get along with other dogs so I can not take on any clients at that time. Or I am already fully booked and I am just waiting on the clients to pay for booking. Your calendar shows that you are booked. Will you still have room for my dog(s)? -Maybe. Rover likes the average host to take on no more than three dogs. Since I do not have any pets of my own, I however can take on more. -Also lets say I have three dogs leaving on a certain day. The dogs may be leaving earlier in the day and it will still say I am booked when in fact I do not have any dogs booked for that night. -I may also be going to a clients home to feed their dogs and it will say I'm booked when in fact I do have room at my house for your dog(s). -With that being said sometimes I am booked and do not have room. The best way to find out is just send me a message and ask. What does it mean when it says you offer 24/7 care? -That means that caring for dogs is my full time job. I do not work anywhere else. I do leave the house of course to run errands, go out to dinner or care for other dogs at their home. I try never to be gone for more than two hours at a time. Where is my dog(s) kept when you are not at home? Do you have kennels? -If your dog is 100% potty trained and nondestructive they have the run of the house. If not I will leave them in my gated kitchen. I do not have any kennels here, if your dog is used to them please bring yours. If my dog is shy or scared of other dogs will you keep them separate? -Your dogs safety and happiness is my number one concern. If I am taking on multiple clients I only take on dogs that are nonaggressive and friendly toward other dogs. With that being said, if your little (or big) dog is scared and feels more comfortable hiding out and being separate from the other dogs I will make sure that happens. How often do the dogs get to go outside and potty and play? -I have a dog door that I leave open when ever I am home, I close it when I leave the house and at night. I also have a screened in front porch with a lock and a side door that leads to a carport (which is perfect when its raining). It also leads the the backyard for potty and play time. Where will my dogs be sleeping? -I like them to sleep where ever they are used to sleeping when they are at their home. So just let me know if they prefer the couch, tile floor, their dog bed, or mine (if there's room)! If they are not 100% potty trained they will have to sleep in the kitchen. My dog(s) are aggressive towards other dogs or too scared to be around other dogs. Will you still watch them? -If you book far enough in advance there is a good chance I can. However your rate will be a lot higher since I will not be able to take on any other clients. Sometimes the best and cheaper solution for that is for me to come to your house twice a day. Just message me for those quotes. Do you take the dogs for walks? -No, not usually. In a perfect world we would have sunny southern California weather year round and our neighborhood lined with sidewalks. As all Oklahoman's know we do not. Your dog will get plenty of exercise running and playing with the other dogs. Do you charge extra for large dogs? -No, absolutely not. I believe that is unfair. Can I send you a booking request right now? -NO, If you send me a booking request before we have spoken or done a meet and greet odds are I will not just accept it. Please send me a meet and greet request first or if it's last minute or some other reason you are not around to do one, then please message me details or leave me your number so I can find out more about your dogs needs and your circumstances. VERY IMPORTANT- I'm ready to send you a meet and greet request. What information do you need when I contact you for the first time? -Make sure you tell me the dates you are needing booked (I may already be fully booked). Please tell me if your dog(s) are housebroken and if friendly with other dogs when you contact me for the first time. -Also make sure that you have already filled out all of their information that Rover requires. Name, age, shot records, etc. Are there any additional fees that I need to know about? -Normal pick up/drop off hours are 9 a.m.-7 p.m. -I charge early drop off and late pick up fees. Drop off between 6-7 a.m. there will be a $50 fee. Drop off between 7-9 a.m. there will be a $25 fee. -Pick up between 7-9 p.m. there will be a $10 fee. Pick up 9-11 p.m. there will be a $15 fee. -All extra fees are per dog, not per client -Always ask first if I am available to do your early or late pick up/drop off. -I do not allow evening drop offs, I need your dog here early enough to have plenty of play time so they will sleep well their first night. (If for some reason I allow an evening drop off to occur there will be a late fee of $30 per dog).

Erin did a great job taking care of my pup. He is a sensitive soul and she welcomed him and took it in stride. She sent updates throughout the weekend. I will be bringing my pup back for sure.

This was my first time to use Rover for boarding and Erin made me feel at ease. She truly adores dogs and creates a loving and fun atmosphere for the dogs in her care. Erin sent a handful of videos and pictures during the boarding and it showed me Buddy was happy and having a blast playing with one of the other dogs. I highly recommend Erin!

Erin took in our pups with short notice, and they had a great time! Our nervous dog ate every meal (she usually doesn’t), and our other dog had a great time in the big yard with Erin!
