Hi! I have been dog sitting for 5 years and now that I have my own dog, I'm hoping to start hosting pups in my home. Yadi (my 5 year old 65 pound mutt) are very active (I am a personal trainer and ultramarathon runner) so your dog will be walked daily. If your dog is a runner, he or she can put in some miles with us if you like as well. Depending on what the owner is comfortable with, we often go to Hanscom dog park or to any of the hiking trails around the Omaha area as well. Yadi is very social to other dogs, but unsure of people, so I know what it's like to hand your baby over to someone new. Because Yadi is a rescue, I also have a lot of experience with dog anxiety and all of the nerves that come from a dog's rough background. As long as your dog is comfortable hanging with another dog, I can pretty much accommodate any other needs. There are no children in my home. I've dog sat for big dogs and small. Dogs with eating problems, seniors, dogs with leash aggression and pulling. I typically work 6am-1pm M-F and would have some wiggle room if I needed to run home for a potty break in that time. When I get home, Yadi and I usually walk or run in the afternoon/evening for 45 minutes to 2 hours depending on the day. We also usually take a nap at some point in there :) Yadi is kenneled during the day, although we are working on him being able to have free range of the house. If your dog is well behaved during the day he/she would not be kenneled. If your dog needs to be kenneled, I have a spare. I am also available for afternoon daycare and walks as I am done working by 1 pm most days.
